🌟 Doing this changed everything for me — I let yoga support my life, not compete with it.

A full time working mum of three children 🙋‍♀️

So, as I’ve gotten older, my relationship with yoga has evolved… changed…softened.

🙌 I’m less concerned with how a posture looks.

🙌 Less attached to how a practice should feel.

🙌 Less driven by ego, strength, or achievement.

Instead, I ask different questions now:

What do I need today?

Where can I soften?

What would it feel like to listen instead of push?

Yoga no longer asks me to prove anything.

It supports me — through full days, changing seasons, tired bodies, busy minds, running a household with young children.

Some days that looks like strong movement.

Other days it’s gentle stretching, breath, or stillness.

Both are yoga.

This practice has taught me that progress isn’t always about doing more —

sometimes it’s about doing less, with more awareness.

🧘‍♀️ Yoga isn’t about becoming someone else.

It’s about meeting yourself exactly as you are — perfectly imperfect — and offering yourself compassion there.

That’s the practice I return to.

Again and again.

Let yoga work for you 🤍

This is what’s really going on with meditation — it’s not about emptying your mind.

If you’ve ever thought “I’m bad at meditation because my mind won’t switch off,” you’re not alone.

And you’re not doing it wrong.

Meditation isn’t about stopping thoughts.

It’s about noticing them — without getting swept away.

The mind thinks. That’s its job.

The practice is learning how to pause, observe, and return… again and again.

Some days meditation feels spacious.

Other days it feels noisy, restless, and uncomfortable.

Both count.

In this season of life — full, layered, and far from quiet — meditation has taught me something far more useful than silence:

how to respond instead of react.

how to stay steady when things feel messy.

how to find small moments of stillness inside a busy day.

Even one minute matters.

Even a few conscious breaths can shift the nervous system.

So if you’ve been telling yourself you “can’t meditate,” this is your reminder: you don’t need a quiet mind — just a willing one.

Save this post for the days your mind feels loud

And if you’d like support learning how to practice meditation in a way that fits your real life, I’d love to guide you in 2026 🤍

5 years ago today, I was afraid you would become a science experiment.

5 years ago, I feared you would be taken from me — and all I would have left would be memories captured in photographs.

5 years ago, I wondered how I would continue in this world without you.

Science — and decades of medical advancement — changed our story.

Without a bone marrow transplant, you would not be here with us today.

Only a few decades ago, this treatment was still emerging.

Today, it saves lives — including yours.

We were fortunate.
Raya survived treatment. She is cancer free.

Not every family gets this ending.

We have lost friends. Too many children have been taken by cancer.

So we carry both gratitude and grief.
We remember those who should still be here.

And we keep moving forward — supporting the science, the hope, and the progress that will give future children more chances, more healing, and more life.

This year I’m taking part in a 30km walk to raise funds for the Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation in honour of Aria who is Forever 5 💔

We are walking for every child who we have lost to childhood cancer, to children like Raya, who have battled and to those children who are currently fighting so that no child should ever go through childhood cancer.

Will you help us reach our target of $10,000? 🎗️

This is your sign to stop waiting for calm — and start creating it.

Calm doesn’t usually arrive when life gets quieter. It happens in the middle of the noise — between work, family, and full schedules.

For me, creating calm means showing up on the mat, even when I don’t feel like it.

Choosing a few minutes of stillness instead of waiting for the perfect time. Meeting this season of life with compassion, not pressure.

Yoga isn’t about escaping the chaos — it’s about learning to breathe within it.

If you’ve been craving space to move, pause, and reconnect, I’d love for you to join me in 2026.

I would like to share this story with you that happened on my last day in Jaipur, India.

I was picked up by a tuk-tuk driver named Ali.

He was warm. Open. Disarmingly kind.
He spoke beautiful English and carried himself with an ease that made me feel instantly comfortable — the kind of presence that invites trust.

He took me where I asked — to a Catholic church. He was willing and understood where I wanted to go and I was grateful I had found someone who could understand what I wanted.

As we drove, he spoke about his life, his guru, the people he’d met. He was the first Indian Muslim I met on my trip and I was intrigued when he spoke about how he also had an amazing Guru who was wise and he was internationally recognised.

At one point, he showed me a book filled with handwritten reviews — years of travellers praising him. Then his TripAdvisor page: five stars, consistently. It all felt reassuring, legitimate, earned.

Nothing was rushed.
Nothing was forced.

So when he mentioned his guru again, I found myself saying yes.
Take me to him.
