This was an evening dedicated to awareness, remembrance, and advocacy for change. Still Aware’s mission is to end preventable stillbirth through education, conversation and connection.

We hold love in our hearts to all families who have been affected by stillbirth ~ past, present and future ❤️‍🩹

As part of , we’re sharing some insight from Dr Willison regarding her recent talk about on air 🎙️when she spoke with Matthew Pantelis from FIVEAA & Tracey Yeend - Hormonal, Nutritional & Environmental Health 🙌🏼

‘Last night I had the pleasure of speaking on Adelaide radio about a topic close to my heart — sexual dysfunction in menopausal women.

So many women experience changes in intimacy, desire, or comfort during menopause, yet few feel comfortable seeking help.

These issues are common, real, and treatable.

It was wonderful to raise awareness and share evidence-based options — from hormonal and regenerative therapies to pelvic floor rehabilitation and lifestyle approaches — reminding women that sexuality is an essential part of wellbeing at every age.

I encourage every woman and every man to continue the conversation and break the silence around women’s sexual health.’ 💗 Dr Willison.

Our recent collaborative study comprising our research team at
FBW Gynaecology Plus and The University of Adelaide has tested a human blood-derived suturable scaffold/ graft (hBDS), which has potential as a safer more effective and natural alternative to traditional pelvic floor surgery and mesh repair.

🔬 What we found:

✅ No infection or excess inflammation
✅ Scaffold dissolves naturally within weeks
✅ Encourages fibroblast activity & new collagen growth
✅ Supports healing and augments tissue repair without a long-term foreign body reaction.

💡 Why this matters:

Traditional synthetic meshes can cause severe complications such as pelvic pain, stiffness, painful intimacy, erosion and rejection. Our biodegradable graft augments the repair with its biological and mechanical properties for safer and more successful pelvic floor repair with a faster recovery rate.

👉 Our research is ongoing, but results to date are encouraging.
