✨️ Today, one of my beautiful clients gifted me a handmade painting, and it had me reflecting on just how lucky I’ve been to meet and connect with so many incredible people through this little clinic of mine.

Over the years I’ve been there through so many moments: new jobs, break-ups, marriages, cancer diagnoses, first b**b jobs (😉), first, second and even third babies, proud stories of grandchildren - and everything in between.

When you step into my clinic - as my repeat clients know - you don’t just get your standard chitchat. You can vent, cry, share your wins, and talk through the highs and the lows. As one of my long-time clients jokes, an appointment every three months is much cheaper than therapy… 😂

Brisbane’s weasther has been decidedly cool the last few weeks, and I am seeing an increase of dry, flaky skin on my clients at their appointments! With the westily winds about to hit, here is how to winter-proof your skin barrier!

When temperatures drop, so does your skin’s ability to hold onto hydration. Harsh winds, indoor heating, and over-cleansing all weaken your skin barrier. This leads to dehydration, redness, and sensitivity.

What to use:
Hydrating heroes like hyaluronic acid, ceramides, niacinamide, and squalane. These ingredients restore balance, calm inflammation, and lock in moisture. My fav product recommendation is The Ordinary's Phytoceramides moisturiser. Silky smooth consistency and immediately boost your skin's hydration by 68%.

What to avoid:
