Some photos of the Toyota Hiace Welcab imported disability vans with the OEM original wheelchair restraints that are still in use in Australia today that were never designed to be used with heavy powerchairs or large occupants and need to be replaced ASAP as they could considered unsafe. All these original OEM restraints are what I have come across just in the last 3 months alone. The last OEM restraint mechanism I looked at last week had two broken cables and one missing hook with only one functioning cable, very dangerous.

2006 Toyota Hiace Welcab major repair and upgrade. This van had so many issues it would take too long to list. The wheelchair restraints had worn and broken cables and missing hooks very dangerous.
