The Atherton Natural Medicine Centre assists people in achieving and maintaining good health so they can enjoy a happy and vital state of wellbeing.
Patients suffering from a wide variety of conditions attend the clinic and are managed with natural remedies such as homeopathy, dietary advice, nutritional supplementation and herbal medicine. David Pitcher is the resident naturopath and has extensive training in natural medicine through the completion of a Bachelor of Naturopathy at Southern Cross University in Lismore NSW. He is a professional member of the Australian Natural Therapists Association and a member of the Australian Homeopathic Association. David is known to his patients as an understanding and compassionate practitioner, and has a particular interest in mental/emotional health.
An initial consultation is extensive and usually covers the patient’s personal and family health history, medical history and medication use, any physical or mental/emotional traumas, and a physical examination if required. The initial consultation lasts for approximately one and a half hours, during which time a detailed record is taken so that the most appropriate course can be selected for the individual. This helps David to focus on the underlying cause of a person’s illness rather than just continually treating the symptoms. In this way a person’s constitution is strengthened and their susceptibility to illness is reduced.
Homoeopathy is a traditional medicine. It may be used in conjunction with other medicines. For any ongoing chronic condition, it is important to be assessed or examined by your healthcare professional or specialist. Always seek medical advice in emergencies.
