Fetal Medicine Unit We have the latest state-of-the-art equipment and one of the country’s leading specialists in fetal medicine, Dr Frank Carmody.

A diagnostic ultrasound at the Wesley or Sunnybank Fetal Medicine Unit will give you the answers you are looking for – whether you are an expecting mum or have been referred by your doctor for a gynecological scan. We have the latest state-of-the-art equipment and one of the country’s leading specialists in fetal medicine. Just as importantly, all staff members are totally committed to giving you the best experience you could possibly hope for. We are the only practice in Brisbane that screens for early onset pre-eclampsia, low birth weight and early delivery. This assessment is done at 12 to 13 weeks at the time of the Nuchal Translucency assessment. We can also identify major structural defects at this stage. This includes heart defects and spina bifida. We will take care of you from start to finish. We will walk you through all procedures and answer every question you may have before, during and after your ultrasound.

Good morning,
With the extreme weather we have faced over the past week and the devastation the floodwaters have had upon many of us we are unable to access the Wesley Hospital rooms today. We are closed for today and will see how tomorrow pans out.
Any appointments due today and potentially tomorrow will be rescheduled as soon as we can access the practice.
