A new statue pays tribute to disability advocate Stella Young.

Last week, the bronze statue was unveiled at an accessible playground in Stella’s hometown of Stawell, Victoria.

Stella was a journalist and comedian who was known for her disability advocacy relating to more accessible spaces, especially at concerts and events. Stella also advocated for the creation of the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
