🩺 National Diabetes Week | 13–19 July 2025🩺
This week we’re raising awareness for the 1.5 million Australians living with diabetes — includingType 1, Type 2, and Gestational Diabetes.
💙 Understanding the types of diabetes:
🔹 Type 1 Diabetes:an autoimmune condition that can occur at any age but is most commonly diagnosed in children and young adults.
🔹 Type 2 Diabetes: often linked to lifestyle factors, but also influenced by genetics and other risks. It’s the most common form and, in many cases, can be prevented or delayed
🔹 Gestational Diabetes: occurs during pregnancy and usually resolves after birth, but increases the risk of developing Type 2 later in life.
💡 Small lifestyle changes can make a big difference:
✅ Stay active
✅ Eat a balanced, nutritious diet
✅ Prioritise regular health check-ups
✅ Know your family history and risk factors
At the Australind Chiropractic Clinic, we support our community’s whole-body wellness. Whether you're managing a chronic condition or looking to maintain your health, we’re here to help you move and feel better every day.
Let’s use this week to support, educate, and empower 💙
