The time was 2pm, do I have time to make the cupcakes I said we would make and decorate??? I only need 6🫣. Oh that’s right I own a Thermomix® 🤣. Types in the trusted Thermomix® platform Cookidoo® and brought up my quick go to basic cupcake recipe🤞look at time to cook? 18-20mins🥳. I check and it does offer to scale the recipe down to 6 instead of 12 (definitely don’t need 24 either) that means no time wasting trying to work out ratios for smaller serves. I grab the sugar and mill that to icing grade then grab and add the ingredients as the machine does the mixing (my mini helper has decided he doesn’t want to help so stands and watches and critics me of course but again another reason I love my Thermomix® because it makes the cooking quick and easy). I pour the batter into cupcake liners and put them in Webber to cook while Mr Critic tells me one minute to move the bowl away as it stinks but within next move his sampling and telling me how much he loves the mix. I set the timer on Thermomix® as time is money when you have someone to collect at certain time and I’m easily distracted. I clean up and the bowl has been pushed back to me to give to the brother when he gets home (because his made himself sick not cause he wants to share). I turn the Webber off and grab the washing off line while allow them to cool in tin for 5mins. Bring them inside and one last lock up (toilet for the little guy etc) so I can put the cakes on wire wrack to cool while at school and be ready to ice when we come back. Walk out the door impressed I did all that in 40mins and even more so that they will be ready to ice when we get back when I nearly didn’t because I didn’t think I could prep, mix, cook and have out to cool in time🥳. Open the car door “Hop in the car so we can go get your brother”…The reply “I need to go to the toilet” yes he went for a wee before 🙃. We are able to make it to pickup in time and the boys were able to ice and decorate the cakes when we got home and video call Pam for her bday.
There’s somethings the Thermo can’t do like toileting timing but for what it can do I love and appreciate🥳🎉
