And here’s the challenge:

Even when people know resistance training is beneficial, adopting it as a habit is HARD.
AND IT CAN BE HARD, ESP TO START

✅ That’s where coaching & behavioral science come in.

To make strength training a sustainable and impacting habit:
🔹 Liaise with health care professionals. 💡 Demonstrate the benefits. Get support and engagement.
🔹 Start small. 💡 But don’t stay small! Progression is key to benefits.
🔹 Ramp up. 🏋️‍♂️ Many cancer survivors worry about doing too much too soon.
🔹 Connect it to personal meaning. ❤️ Why does getting stronger matter to you?
🔹 Use social support. 🤝 Training with a coach, friend, or group increases commitment.
🔹 Track progress & celebrate success. 🎉 Small wins build momentum!

Resistance training is not just for athletes. It’s medicine for cancer prevention, recovery, and longevity. 🎯

GET MOVING and RESISTING
For years, we’ve known that exercise reduces the risk of chronic diseases like heart disease and diabetes—but resistance training (RET) is also a game-changer for cancer prevention, recovery, and survival 🔥

📢 Here’s what the research tells us:

➡️ Strength training 2x per week is linked to a 34% lower risk of dying from cancer (Stamatakis et al., 2018).
➡️ Cancer survivors who lifted weights once per week had a 33% lower all-cause mortality rate (Hardee et al., 2014).
➡️ Resistance training helps combat treatment side effects like muscle loss, fatigue, and metabolic syndrome—and improves chemotherapy completion rates! 💊🏋️‍♀️
➡️ It enhances immune function, insulin sensitivity, and reduces inflammation, all of which impact cancer risk and recovery.
