Some interesting information that's worth a read. I believe there should always be a balance to these things and it is important to listen to your body - it can tell you a lot!. Here is a great example of ignoring your body's signals.

to when I was 13% body fat and had "the ideal body". Problem was, this body was not menstruating, was infertile and was putting my bones and heart health at risk due to my non-existent s*x hormones (which also had the lovely side effect of depleting my libido).

These past few weeks I have received multiple emails from women in their EARLY 20s who have been diagnosed with osteopenia/osteoporosis - all a result of having insufficient body fat to produce enough oestrogen (which is protective of the bones). This is an age when we should have PEAK bone mass! This is scary stuff!

Do we really want to be encouraging young women to be so lean that they are breaking down their bones and risk being in a wheelchair by the time they are 45?!? Think about if one of these young women was your daughter....or sister.....what would you be telling them?

Come on ladies - let's stop propagating the message that this is a healthy look to strive for. It's not. Bring back b***s and b***y I say! Who's with me? X

Unfortunately I will not be able to massage at Back to Health Centre due to fires yesterday in the shopping complex. I am not sure what damage has been done to the Clinic yet but it will definitely be water damaged. I am continuing Massage Treatments at my Treatment room at Avoca and will contact my clients with the details.

UPDATE 1:30PM - KARALTA ROAD has been REOPENED.

Emergency Services are still at the scene of a large fire scene in the business district off Karalta Road at Erina. Currently Karalta Road is closed from The Entrance Road to Erina Fair.

Please avoid the area and make alternative plans if travelling to Erina Fair from The Entrance Road this morning.
