One year ago tonight, I held the very first class at Tiroana.

Tonight I’m sitting here feeling so much gratitude. Not in a loud, celebratory way, but more in a quiet, steady way. A "heart glow" kind of way.

After each class, when the last person leaves, and the room is still, I still pause and look around. And if I’m honest, now and then a few tears still well up. In that moment, I realise how lucky I am to get to do this. That I get to hold this space. That I get to support something that truly matters.

When you walk through the door, and I see that subtle shift in your face, that exhale, that’s always been the vision.

A space that nurtures and steadies.
A practical place to learn and practice.
A place to belong.

Thank you for showing up. On the days you felt energised. On the days you nearly didn’t come. On the evenings when you were flat after a long day.

You are the reason this space feels alive.

One year in… and it feels like we’re only just beginning.

A special thank you to all the beautiful faces in class tonight - it was lovely to quietly celebrate through yoga with you.

The light in me sees the light in you.
Namaste. 🤍

If you’ve ever wondered what a class at Tiroana feels like… this is a little glimpse.

We begin with grounding and breath.
We build warmth steadily.
We layer strength with intention.

There are always options. Always props. Always space to practise in a way that supports your body.

This final round leads us toward our peak — not by forcing the shape, but by preparing for it.

If you’ve been thinking about joining, maybe this is your sign 🤍

Bookings via the website.
See you in the studio.

It’s a New Moon in Aquarius.
An eclipse.
A quiet turning point in the sky.

You’ll see me share little at-home rituals - journaling, incense, oracle cards, moonlight, reflection.

And I want to gently say this:

I don’t share them because they are yoga or meditation.
They’re not.

I share them because ritual matters.

Ritual is simply intention made visible.
It’s the cup of tea you make the same way each morning.
The way you roll out your mat.
The few steady breaths before you begin.
The act of sitting down and choosing to reflect.

That pause - that deliberate moment - is grounding.
It brings awareness to time.
It softens the rush.
It invites you back to yourself.

The science of meditation and yoga will always matter deeply to me.
The nervous system regulation.
The breath.
The practice.

But there is also something quietly powerful about marking moments, about choosing to notice the sky, the seasons, your own inner shifts.

You don’t need oracle cards.
You don’t need incense.
You don’t need anything at all.

But perhaps you need a moment.

That’s why I share.

May this new moon feel like a gentle reset.
May it offer clarity where things feel scattered.
May it remind you that even small rituals can anchor you back to what matters.

Tuesday 17 February brings a rare layering of energy 🌑✨ (😉it’s also hubby’s birthday)

A New Moon in Aquarius, an annular solar eclipse day (not visible from Australia, but still symbolically powerful), and the beginning of the Lunar New Year, welcoming the Year of the Fire Horse.

I genuinely love moments like this. Not because something dramatic has to happen… but because, across cultures and calendars, humans have always marked time like this. And I think that’s beautiful.

The Horse in the Chinese zodiac represents movement, strength, freedom, and momentum. Add the element of Fire, and those qualities are amplified - courage, boldness, spark, acceleration. A Fire Horse year only comes around every 60 years, which makes this combination rare and potent.

Then layer in Aquarius ♒ - future-focused, community-minded, unconventional. A New Moon here feels like seed-planting for the bigger picture. Not just “what do I want?” but “what am I contributing?”

And the eclipse! Where the moon doesn’t fully cover the sun but creates a halo of light - feels symbolic too. Not total darkness. Not total clarity. A shift. A turning point. A moment that can help you close doors you’ve been hesitating on and recalibrate your direction.

There’s a lot of forward energy here. Momentum. Initiation. Movement.

But fire moves quickly. And anything fast needs grounding.

So before you act, pause.
Before you decide, breathe.
Before you accelerate, centre yourself.

You don’t even need to do anything with this moment.
You could simply sit for five seconds and appreciate that this world holds so many cultures, calendars, and ways of understanding time and that you’re part of it.

If you do feel called to reflect, my New Moon journal prompt PDF is free on my website, and there’s a New Moon meditation on Insight Timer to guide you into stillness before you move.

Momentum is powerful.
Grounded momentum is transformative.

Pause. Breathe. Acknowledge. Then move with intention.

There’s something I really love about setting the studio up the night before our Sunday classes 🤍

Rolling out each mat.
Placing the bolsters and blocks.
Laying out the pillows and blankets.

It’s never rushed. It feels grounding; a quiet ritual.

I always walk into the space with the intention of calm and steadiness; not just because it feels peaceful, but because that’s what I want to create. Before I leave, I sit for a few minutes in meditation to settle the room and hold it gently for whoever arrives the next day.

Last year, this two-hour offering was called Surrender.
And my standalone Yoga Nidra class was called Rest.

This year, they’ve come together.

Surrender & Rest.

Two hours on a Sunday morning. Restorative yoga to soften the body, followed by Yoga Nidra meditation, woven with crystal sound bowls and Koshi wind chimes.

It’s nourishment.
It’s intentional stillness.
It’s a space to let go.

I love that it also falls between Valentine’s Day and a New Moon eclipse (and Lunar New Year approaching).

Beautiful energy for reflection and reset.

The studio is ready for tomorrow.

If you’ve been thinking about joining, there are three spots left. 🤍

The Full Moon is a natural pause point.

For me, it’s a time for meditation and journaling —
a moment to slow down and notice what’s being illuminated within.

Less about doing.
More about releasing.

Letting the mind settle.
Letting words land on the page without editing or fixing.
Allowing what feels heavy to soften or be released.

This Full Moon in Leo carries an invitation toward honesty and heart-led awareness — noticing what wants to be seen or acknowledged.

No pressure.
No performance.

Just a pause.
A breath.
And space to listen inward. 🌕

25/01/2026

Pause for a moment.
Not to be quiet — but to listen.

In meditation, listening is one of the simplest ways to ground yourself.
Silence is rarely available in real life, and it isn’t something you need - or even want in your meditation practice.

Often, the idea that meditation should be silent is what quietly gets in the way of practising at all.

Life is full of sound - our homes, traffic, weather, other people, everyday life unfolding.
Waiting for perfect quiet usually means the practice keeps being put off.

So instead, meditation invites you to work with your sense of hearing.
Noticing sound as it is, without needing it to change or fade away.

You may become aware of layers of sound —
near or far, steady or passing.
As attention rests on listening, the body begins to soften, the nervous system settles, and the mind has somewhere to land.

This is grounding through hearing —
meeting the present moment just as it is.

If the day feels busy or noisy, inside or out…
pause.
Listen.
That is enough.

Welcome to 2026 ✨
The new Tiroana timetable is live.

Thank you so much for your patience — I’ve loved all the messages and enquiries about when meditation and yoga would be returning. It feels really special to begin the year with so much intention, curiosity, and energy for what you’d like to invite in (or continue).

After a lovely family break and with school starting next week, classes will begin the week of 2 February.

A few gentle notes:
• Most classes run by school term, so if that’s not on your radar, always check the calendar on the booking page for the most up-to-date info
• One Tuesday class is cancelled on 17 February due to a family commitment
• There are a few timetable shifts this term, including:
– A new Tuesday night yoga class
– Yin moving to 60 minutes
– “Monday Meditation” (x2 class times for more options) becoming a simple, supportive weekly touchstone — short, accessible, and easy to commit to.

Monday Meditation is designed to support any meditation practice — whether you’re new, returning, or already meditate at home. Come as you are. Work clothes welcome. Sit or lie down. Easy, consistent, supportive.

More styles will be introduced in Term 2, and if you’re on the waitlist for Pause & Begin, keep an eye on your inbox — dates are coming soon.

✨ View the full timetable + class details via www.tiroana.com
💌 DM anytime if you have questions
🤍 Feel free to tag a friend or share

I’ll be sharing more about each class over the next week — and I can’t wait to welcome you back into the space.
