Tech Neck
If you spend hours day after day staring at a computer, mobile phone or tablet screen the pain you are probably feeling in your neck, shoulders and upper back is most likely what they call Tech Neck.
This syndrome can cause Headaches,Tingling and numbness in your hands, neck pain, rotator cuff problems,,excessive curvature of your upper spine,TMJ dysfunction and list goes on.
Be mindful of your posture, if you feel your head leaning forward and your shoulders rounding off, Take time to stretch Take a break. Make sure your work station is correctly setup, keep your phone and tablet at eye level.
Also if you are feeling the effects of Tech Neck your children are also susceptible to the effects of excessive screen time so check their posture, Good habits start early.
If the pain is constant and doesn't go away you might need to see a physical therapist to relieve the muscle tension and correct the postural problems associated with excessive screen time.
