Since don't yet exist, why are 5-9 year olds being removed en masse from the scheme?
This week in this information was made public.
1200 reassessment letters are being issued by the NDIA every week; 80 percent of them fall within this class of participant.
48 percent have their plans cut. Another 35 percent have support downgraded.
Most Disabled children, especially ND kids who account for the majority of these children, are from low SES families. They can't afford supports outside of the NDIS National Disability Insurance Scheme
And foundational supports *do not exist yet* for this cohort. They are being left with no support during the transition to primary school - a critical milestone during which they need significant support.
This is neglect of duty of care and the Minister Bill Shorten and the CEO, will answer for it.
