Since don't yet exist, why are 5-9 year olds being removed en masse from the scheme?

This week in this information was made public.

1200 reassessment letters are being issued by the NDIA every week; 80 percent of them fall within this class of participant.

48 percent have their plans cut. Another 35 percent have support downgraded.

Most Disabled children, especially ND kids who account for the majority of these children, are from low SES families. They can't afford supports outside of the NDIS National Disability Insurance Scheme

And foundational supports *do not exist yet* for this cohort. They are being left with no support during the transition to primary school - a critical milestone during which they need significant support.

This is neglect of duty of care and the Minister Bill Shorten and the CEO, will answer for it.

Now taking expressions of interest in our Term 3 programs for:

READY SET GO
School Readiness Program
Thursdays 1.00-2.30pm
This program is designed to help children transitioning to school in 2025 with their:
- Fine motor development
- Early literacy
- Social and play skills
- Receptive language
- Expressive language

It also includes individualised activity packs and supports parents with knowledge and resources to develop a transition support plan for their child.

KINDER CONNECT
Social Skills Program
Thursdays 9.30-11.00am
Kinder Connect is a play based program designed to help kinder-aged children with their social and play skills.

-Limited places available-

Small groups (maximum 4 children) facilitated by our experienced Occupational Therapy AHA and Early Childhood Specialist.

Winston is a 1 year old Aussie bulldog who is a 4 legged staff member at Connect Therapies.

His job includes:
🐾 Sleeping
🐾 Getting cuddles
🐾 Giving kisses
🐾 Sleeping
🐾 Helping people connect, regulate and communicate
🐾 Sleeping

He snores loudly and occasionally (ok, regularly) stinks out the back office but he has a wonderful read on people and seems to know just what they need to make their day a little brighter 💕

Winston Fact: He is disabled after he was run over in an unfortunate accident in July 2023 and is re-learning to walk with doggy physiotherapy. We think this gives him an extra special qualification to work in the NDIS space 🥰
