One of the things I love about my job is the amazing conversations I get to have with my beautiful clients. Yesterday during a conversation with a patient doing year 12, we were discussing what choices there are out there in the world. She asked me why I loved massage and what made me choose it. To be honest its what I do and haven't really thought about it in depth for a long time, so what great question right?

I love massage because I get to see my beautiful clients move through the stages of their lives and can support their bodies as they transition through what life throws them.

I love massage because for me the feeling of change in my hands as muscles release is so satisfying.

I love massage because it something that you never stop learning, the body, mind spirit connection never fails to amaze me!

I love massage because no two bodies are the same and no two bodies release the same way. it always keeps me challenged and interested.

But most of all I love all of you and the great relationships and networks that build after so many years practicing in the same town.

For all the year 12s out there feeling pressured right now to make decisions about their futures, all I can say is this.....

Find something that makes your heart sing, find something that challenges your thinking, find something that makes you feel fulfilled.

The career journey goes like this, keep trying things to find out what you don't like and you will land on something you love. It really is that easy. And remember every job has its hard days even when you love it x

Massage Therapy does not only relieve body pain, stress and tension in the body, it significantly changes the whole hormonal system through the power of touch. After 20 minutes in a massage session your body will release oxytocin's that create a sense of calm and nurture to the body, the same response as that big warm hug from a loved one, or the cuddles from your favourite pet. The power of touch is bigger than we realise especially in a world filled with technology communication.
