MYVISTA Mirrabooka residents filled with festive cheer as we ere visited by children from Sudbury House Early Learning Centre to celebrate Christmas in July with us!

There were smiles all around as the young and young-at-heart enjoyed a fun-filled morning with live music, delicious treats, Christmas decs and of course presents!

Moments like these are what make MYVISTA so special – connecting generations, sharing joy, and creating beautiful memories together.

A big thank you to the team at Sudbury House and our wonderful entertainer for making the day unforgettable!

MYVISTA Mirrabooka Retirement Living residents embraced the festive spirit with a cheerful and heartwarming Christmas in July celebration complete with good food, plenty of laughs, and a joyful community atmosphere.

MYVISTA Balcatta Residential Aged Care put on a fantastic party to celebrate the July birthdays of some special residents including many in their 90s!

There was cake, live music, ribbon dancing, and plenty of laughter as we came together to honour another year of life, joy and connection. A special thank you to CEO Irene Mooney for joining us and personally sharing birthday wishes with our residents. Happy birthday to all our July stars you’ve still got the moves and the smiles to prove it!

MYVISTA Mirrabooka aged care residents proudly showcased their incredible talents at our recent Art Exhibition, featuring a vibrant display of crochet, knitting, painting, textiles, and more.

The turnout was fantastic, and it was heartwarming to see so many families, staff, and community members admiring the creativity and passion behind each piece.

Arts and crafts are more than just hobbies, they support wellbeing, spark joy, and keep minds active. But showcasing this creativity is just as important as it gives our residents a sense of purpose, pride, and connection.

One of our talented residents at MYVISTA Balcatta recently took part in painting therapy and created this beautiful flower artwork.

Painting offers more than just a creative outlet. It’s a calming and expressive activity that supports emotional wellbeing, focus, and joy.

We love seeing residents explore their artistic side and take pride in what they create.

This World Continence Week (16–22 June 2025), we’re joining the national conversation to raise awareness and reduce the stigma around continence health.

MYVISTA proudly joined the global community in recognising World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD) A day to shine a light on an issue that affects too many older people around the world, often in silence.

Elder abuse can take many forms including physical, emotional, financial, sexual, or even neglect. It is any act that harms or threatens the wellbeing, dignity or rights of an older person, often by someone they know and trust.

At MYVISTA, we believe every older person deserves to feel safe, respected and heard. That’s why we have clear policies, ongoing staff training, and strong reporting pathways in place to protect the rights and wellbeing of our residents and customers. We also encourage families and carers to speak up if they have concerns because prevention starts with awareness and the courage to have difficult conversations.

Together, we can create a community where older people are valued, empowered, and protected

MYVISTA Balcatta Residential Aged Care residents were recently treated to a beautiful live performance by a string quartet from the WA Symphony Orchestra (WASO) and what a magical experience it was!

The room was filled with music and smiles as residents not only enjoyed the performance, but joined in with their own percussion instruments, creating a joyful and interactive musical moment.

Thank you to WASO for bringing the gift of music into our home ; it was truly uplifting and unforgettable!

From balloon tennis battles to tabletop games and puzzles, our MYVISTA Balcatta aged care residents have been having an absolute blast and it's all part of a carefully designed, resident-driven activity program that keeps minds sharp, bodies moving, and hearts full of joy.

At MYVISTA, we know that staying active, social, and engaged is vital for wellbeing. That’s why our Activities team puts real care and thought into offering a fun, packed calendar of activities chosen WITH residents, not just for them. Whether it’s friendly competition, laughter with friends, or simply the joy of being involved, our residents are at the heart of everything we do.

We also understand that caring for a loved one at home can be challenging. Life is busy, and it’s not always possible to offer the same level of daily engagement, social connection, and round-the-clock support. That’s where we come in.

MYVISTA Balcatta Retirement Living residents recently hosted a special morning tea to raise funds for cancer research and what a wonderful turnout it was!

With delicious food, refreshing drinks, lively games, brain-teasing quizzes, and a fun-filled raffle, the morning was bursting with generosity, laughter, and community spirit.

A huge thank you to the residents for their incredible effort and to everyone who came along to support such an important cause.
