🐎🐎 URGENT CALL FOR VOUNTEERS! 🐎🐎
HORSE SA has been running for over 30 years and in that time has gained a high reputation for the production of a wealth of valuable information for the benefit of the horse community and beyond.
This includes issues such as land and property management; compliance issues; dealing with horses in emergency situations; biosecurity; horse welfare; horse transport, to name a few.
We are funded by a mix of member fees, sponsorship, event income and government grants. But government grants for routine operational work [as opposed to funding for projects] has been severely cut back in the last two years by about 75% which means that we can no longer afford to employ any staff for the routine operational work.
Horse SA has advocated on behalf of the horse community on issues from state legislation to Council and local issues and run training workshops on several topics.
It would be a tragedy for the horse community if it could no longer continue doing so.
So that’s why we immediately need volunteers. If you can spare three hours a week or three hours a month to help run this great volunteer organisation, we would love to hear from you.
If you’re interested in bookkeeping, interacting on social media, maintaining membership records, planning workshops, maintaining our website or taking the step to join the Board, contact us by sending us a message via Facebook, give me a call or email. Contact details below.
We won’t be able to thrive without you! ❤️🙏🏻
Best wishes, Carol
