What Is Pain? This timeless question continues to intrigue and challenge our understanding.
Join us as Simon Lewis, Senior Physiotherapist at Ballarat OSM, welcomes Lorimer Moseley, Neurologist and Professor from University of South Australia, to unveil the ‘4 Essential Pain Facts.’
As part of Simon’s ‘Pain Revolution’ scholarship program, Simon and Lorimer will guide us through two insightful sessions, offering the latest understandings in pain science, perception, and experience. This is a unique opportunity to deepen your understanding of patient pain experiences across various fields which can be applied to your course of study (Nursing, Paramedicine, OT and Physiotherapy!).

This professional development event is FREE for all students and will be held over two sessions:
SESSION 1 - Week 7, Thursday, September 12th, 5-7 pm

(I find the Advanced Search button very useful!)

Please order your uniform as soon as possible! It can take a while to come and it will be the last thing you want to stress about when you are preparing for your first practical exam.

Position Description - Football/Netball Trainer

Dunnstown Football and Netball Club is seeking Sports Trainers to form a critical part of our team for our Junior and Senior Program in 2024.

The successful applicant will work as part of a team of Trainers and be available to attend some training sessions on a rotation basis and must attend match days on Saturday.

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to be involved in a wonderful Football / Netball club, it is also a wonderful way to gain practical experience that could benefit any Physio, Sports Science, or Nursing students. There is a possibility of accreditation hours being marked off if applicable.

Minimum Level 1 Sports Trainer (can be arranged by the club) and current First Aid & CPR qualification required (can also be arranged by the club).

Key Tasks:

• Massage, hydration, strapping and injury prevention duties at training sessions and on match days

• Liaise with the Head Trainer

• Assist on game day with pre-game, on field and post-game duties.

This position is a paid position.

The Western Bulldogs are looking for sports trainers for their VFLW team. You’ll be working with 2 physios, a head trainer and a team of sports trainers.
Mostly weekend work and it’s a paid position!

Requirements:
- Level 1 sports trainer certificate
- CPR and First Aid
No formal experience required!
