✨YIN & VARIABLE ANATOMY TEACHER TRAINING SCHOLARSHIP POSITION AVAILABLE✨

We’ve had such a positive response to our very first yoga teacher training with the incredible that we wanted to give back to our community, and ensure we can reduce financial barriers to accessing this deeply meaningful training and experience.

So if you’ve been thinking about jumping into the training, but money is an issue right now (we totally get it), this is for you!

HOW TO APPLY:
Simply send us a 200 word email about why you’d like to undertake this training and how this would support you, your practice or your life more broadly to Shani at hello@eastsideyoga.com.au.

HOW WE WILL MAKE A DECISION:
We will assess each application individually, however we will prioritise access for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people of colour, LGBTIQA+, people living with disability and all folks who face compounding barriers to accessing such opportunities.

Please reach out to Shani here, or Angus, with any questions you may have 🤎

P.S. A reminder that you absolutely don’t have to be a yoga teacher to undertake this training - maybe it aligns with your work, or perhaps it’s purely an internal motivation and what better reason!

✨NEW TEACHER ANNOUNCEMENT ✨
It is with SO much joy that we share our dear friend, mentor and teacher, Michaela McCaw, started with us today and will be teaching on Sundays at 9:30am Mellow and 5:15pm Rest & Recover (Yin).

A little bit more about her:
Michaela completed her first teacher training in 2017 and has continued to deepen her practice through further trainings in yin yoga, trauma-informed approaches, and somatic movement.

Her classes are slower paced and invite students to explore movement through embodiment and internal awareness, building the practice from the inside out. Through invitational language and somatic cues, she encourages students to listen to their bodies and move in ways that feel supportive and responsive.

Alongside teaching yoga, Michaela holds a Master’s degree in Inclusive Education and is passionate about creating inclusive, accessible spaces. She believes yoga is a deeply personal practice — one that offers space to slow down, reconnect, and move through the world with greater awareness and care.

We cannot wait for you to move with her 🤎
