Happy International Yoga Day...

Yoga.. My saviour.. My go to.. My best and most powerful tool for self awareness and guidance for the best steps to take in the next moment for me and the good of the greater collective consciousness..

With just 1 sun salutation, already I'm tuned in to how I am today in a multi-level way.. And every day is different as we grow, change and evolve..

My breath is steady and strong.. Loud and powerful and present.. I'm here.. With purpose and intention..

My left leg muscles are tight.. Some releasing and letting go and not to forget some nurturing required as it's on the feminine side..

My right groin, tight, a little closed off, stubborn perhaps? Masculine emotional junk draw to release..

More letting go.. We hold on tight so much.. There's so much sweetness in surrendering..

I find courage and strength to move through a pose I've been telling myself I can't do because I'm not strong enough.. I gain momentum and move through it with determination and grace.. I manage it.. Now I can remember this off the mat and repeat in life..

I realise I forgot a step on the left side I did on the right and I gain awareness that I need to wake up and be more present, more aware, right here right now in the moment.. But I giggle about it and allow myself to make mistakes.. It's totally OK..

As I touch down and my belly is compressed on the ground I feel knots and pain and it reminds me of what I've been through lately emotionally and to breath deeper and massage into this space.. It's an area I need to nurture, relax and reminds me to assimilate more with life, not fight..

I surprise myself in all my balancing poses.. I must be setting down some good strong foundations as this has been something I've noticed a lot in my practice lately.. Strong and centered..

On this winter solstice day I know to bring in more of the feminine and let go of an imbalance of too much masculine and trust in the process of natural law, apply this to my own life and probably have a much better time 😁..

Finally gratitude for these ancient practices we adopt that are a tool of self mastery that allow us to bring it back to the one magnificent specimen who is always in the process of creating our own experiences second by second.. The self.. Perhaps this is my biggest and most obvious realisation yet..

Yes I may be a dreamer, but if I could have just one wish, it would be, that for one minute, we all closed our mouths, we shut down our minds, we opened up our ears to the song in our hearts, we stared with open eyes, into the window of our neighbouring souls, and without any words spoken, or action taken, just for a moment, there would be absolute peace on earth, that could be felt by the heavens and all throughout the universe and we would realise in that one moment we were all one, connected by an invisible force called love..
