Our Story
Rosie has over 10 years’ experience as a registered nurse and midwife in major hospitals through Australia. Throughout her time as a midwife, she has had the privilege and honour of being present countless times new life enters the world. With three young children of her own, Rosie knows first-hand that every birth is different, and every birth is incredible.
It wasn’t until Rosie and her friends started having babies that she realised how prevalent the associated fear of childbirth was throughout the community. Feeling motived to bridge this knowledge gap by educating and empowering couples, Rosie established ‘Babies Ballarat’. Babies Ballarat aims to make knowledge accessible to couples within the Ballarat and Western District regions of Victoria, by providing education and preparation tools to help families birth confidently and positively.
As a Calmbirth educator, Rosie provides couples with up to date, evidence-based and scientifically proven birth education. Calmbirth’s motto is ‘with knowledge comes confidence', a statement Rosie whole heartily agrees with. Calmbirth is not just about having a ‘perfect’ birth, but it is about acquiring education to create a birth that is perfect for you and your baby. Rosie is immensely passionate about ‘keeping things simple’ while allowing you as a couple or team, the ability to explore your way of doing ‘birth’ through knowledge and education.
Calmbirth® is a highly acclaimed childbirth education program. The program runs over two-days and prepares couples mentally, emotionally and physically for the birth of their baby.
