They say “ Your never to old and it’s never to late “ !
Well they maybe be right !
Back in February this year I decided it was time for a change and do a Cert III in NEPT (Non Emergency Patient Transport) with St John Ambulance .
This was a huge and overwhelming decision as the thought of study scared the crap out of me as it has been such a long time since I left school and had little experience with studying or computers 🤨.
With the support of my partner family and my amazing friends I made it through all the study and face to face learning in Melbourne qualifying in Emergency Life Support , CPR , First Aid, and the most challenging Ambulance Driver Training ! 🚑
I finished the course in August and received my results early September with a certificate to say I successfully passed ! Such a proud moment 🥳
3 weeks ago I was invited to go to Melbourne for an assessment day and formal interview with St John Ambulance. 🥳
I found out last week I was successful and have been offered a position as a Patient Transport Officer here in Ballarat.☺️
I am absolutely over the moon that this has all fallen into place for me.
I am extremely sad to say goodbye to my little beauty business “Flawless Look by Darlene”that I started from home just over 11 years ago then moving into Hair on Sturt in July 2018 , a move that was just perfect in every way.
Working with these girls has been an absolute delight ❤️
In saying that, I will be finishing up at Xmas but only working Wednesday’s, Thursday’s and Fridays all December .
I have found the perfect person to take my place at Hair On Sturt so rest assured you will receive the same quality service you always have 😉
There are a few minor details to be confirmed but I assure you all I will let you all know who is taking over asap.
Thank you all for your continued support and the beautiful friendships I have made during my time as a beautician .
Exciting times ahead 🥰
