Have you heard of Infant Botulism ?

This is an illness that can happen when a baby takes in toxins from a specific type of bacteria called Clostridium botulinum.
This bacteria can live in soil and dust. And can also be present in honey and foods containing honey.
That's why you should never give honey to babies under one year of age!
Older children and adults can digest these bacteria before they cause harm.
Infant botulism usually affects babies under 6 months of age.
But all babies under 1 are at risk.

SIGNS and SYMPTOMS of Botulism are:

Constipation
Weak facial muscles
Weak cry
Floppiness of body
Trouble swallowing and increased drooling.
Reduced feeding.
