Emotions
Emotions are programmed and triggered in your amygdala in your brain which is controlled by your subconscious mind.
How can we Eliminate Unwanted Emotions in the Subconscious Mind?
Ever since man has been on this planet, human beings have tried to fix their problems by conscious effort and determination by using ‘Mind over Matter’, while others will go out of their way to avoid ‘Opening up old Wounds’ and still others try to get some relief by the ‘cathartic effect’ of getting it off their chest, but unfortunately, they remain partly or completely emotionally upset.
By trying to fix our problems with our conscious mind we have overlooked the fact that. both our problem and the solution lie in the amygdala in our subconscious mind. We have always thought we can fix our problems with conscious thought because at times we have been able to do this because of the ‘placebo-effect, or the subconscious phenomenon ‘subconscious forgiveness’.
Definition of placebo-effect by the Webster Dictionary.
An improvement in a condition that cannot be attributed to the treatment given.
Why doesn’t the placebo-effect always work?
The main problem here is that the subconscious mind has a subconscious mechanism designed to you to keep safe, and this subconscious mechanism is called dissociation.
The definition of dissociation is.
Dissociation is a concept that has been developed over time and which concerns a wide array of experiences, ranging from a mild emotional detachment from the immediate surroundings, to a more severe disconnection from physical and emotional experiences. The major characteristic of all dissociative phenomena involves a detachment from reality, rather than a false perception of reality as in psychosis.
In its mildest form it is known as daydreaming or ‘highway hypnosis’ where a person when traveling from ‘A’ to ‘B’ and cannot remember all the details of the journey. And at the most severe form of dissociation, it is known as ‘dissociative identity disorder’ or formerly known as ‘multiple personality disorder’.
As dissociation is a subconscious blocker to quick effective treatment a subconscious solution was needed as traditional talk therapies were clearly not working in the treatment of psychological disorders.
The first objective for mankind was to discover, how can we understand, communicate, and change the neuropathways in the subconscious mind?
There have been millions of people who would have tried to understand the subconscious mind since the beginning of time but, as the conscious mind works independently of the subconscious mind. The answer has been illusive to the conscious mind.
This was the dilemma that faced Leigh Skewes when he first approached the monumental task of discovering how to change the neuropathways in the subconscious brain. As Leigh was looking for a sequence that has the capacity to eliminate psycho-trauma in the subconscious mind and this sequence could not involve conscious thinking. So that, any solution must not be by repeating the same mistakes that have been tried in the past by involving the conscious mind.
The next question is?
How can we change unwanted emotions at a subconscious level?
Hypnotherapy was the first consideration.
Unfortunately, traditional subconscious therapies such as hypnotherapy do not always work for the following reasons:
• Firstly, hypnotherapy works by placing suggestions into the subconscious mind by the hypnotherapist, but it is rare that the suggestion relates to the subconscious minds reason for the problem, as only the subconscious mind knows what to treat and how to treat it.
• Secondly, many people who have had a traumatic experience, have had their control taken from them by their subconscious mind. So, it is natural that traumatized person will be determined to stay in control of their conscious thoughts, and they will naturally resist subconscious hypnotherapy. By, often believing their mind will be changed by some subconscious suggestion given to them by a hypnotherapist. These people will resist subconscious suggestion to maintain control.
• Thirdly by dissociation (shut down) at some level the subconscious mind has the capacity as a subconscious defence mechanism to keep the person safe. This is a form of subconscious resistance to hypnotherapy. (Dissociation is explained later)
The next considered option was to look for any subconscious phenomenon or sequence that could be examined that may help in the elimination of unwanted emotions.
The only two known subconscious phenomena that eliminates unwanted emotions in the subconscious mind are the ‘Placebo Effect’, and the subconscious phenomenon of ‘Subconscious Forgiveness’.
The first is question is, what is the placebo effect and how do we duplicate it?
Leigh Skewes had a lightbulb flash that the placebo effect is a ‘Subconscious Intention’, or in other words a, ‘Subconscious Belief’. This was the of a new search of how to duplicate the placebo-effect and how to embed the placebo-effect into the amygdala of the subconscious mind.
So, Leigh Skewes developed a technique of embedding a triple ‘intention to treat’ into the client’s subconscious mind. The key here was to do this without the persons conscious mind’s awareness.
Mr Skewes used the known subconscious phenomenon of using the subconscious mind’s ability the find a solution to a problem that is formulated by the subconscious mind alone. This subconscious phenomenon happens when the subconscious mind is in ‘rapid eye movement’ when a person is asleep, this is when a solution to a problem flashes up from the subconscious mind. This is often in connected to a problem that the person has been concerned about at the time.
The subconscious mind works on automatic pilot and often works without conscious control or awareness, and it is necessary for the subconscious mind to awaken the person enough for the conscious mind to be aware of the subconscious answer to write it down before the conscious mind drifts back to sleep or consciously changes the subconscious answer.
It’s like a spider phobia, the sufferer’s subconscious mind will always produce fear whenever confronted by a spider, with no exceptions no matter what the conscious mind wants.
Leigh Skewes discovered that the Placebo Effect was in fact a ‘Subconscious Belief’ or in other words a ‘Subconscious Intention’.
This being the case Leigh Skewes developed the therapy, ‘Subconscious Freedom Therapy’ (SFT).
This therapy works on embedding a quadruple ‘intention to Treat’ into the subconscious mind by using one’s own intention to treat without conscious awareness.
This subconscious phenomenon is done without conscious awareness, and it is impossible to consciously understand the mechanics of such a phenomenon.
In this manner the subconscious mind was able to duplicate the ‘Placebo Effect’ and by using your intention to treat you can eliminate subconscious dissociation. Dissociation is a subconscious defence mechanism designed to keep the problem.
By eliminating dissociation, the person can be in contact with their emotions, as their emotions are not subconsciously shut down any longer. Now, their emotions are open for treatment.
What is the placebo effect?
Webster Dictionary-Definition of the ‘Placebo effect’
An improvement in a condition that cannot be attributed to the treatment given.
Placebo effect is a subconscious phenomenon.
Leigh Skewes believes that in psychology the placebo effect is a subconscious phenomenon that can improve a condition by using a ‘subconscious intention’ or in other words, a subconscious belief.
This subconscious belief is effective only to the amount of the subconscious phenomenon dissociation and the subconscious phenomenon ‘subconscious forgiveness’ is in play.
Subconscious Dissociation Phenomenon
In psychology dissociation is where a person experiences different degrees of awareness/shutdown. In its most severe form, it is known as ‘dissociative identity disorder’ or formally ‘multiple personality disorder’ and in its mildest form it is known as daydreaming or ‘highway hypnosis’ where a person travels from ‘A’ to ‘B’ without remembering the details of the journey.
Leigh Skewes believes dissociation is a subconscious safety mechanism designed to keep the person safe from ongoing psycho trauma. An example here is the dissociation in the frightened child phenomenon. If a person that has a history has past childhood trauma, the person will revert into the behaviours of a frightened child when the subconscious mind is reminded of the trauma.
Subconscious forgiveness phenomenon is used to change the emotional effect in the person by alleviating emotional hurt by forgiving a perpetrator and is often used in prayer by accessing the subconscious mind and is mostly seen in religion. Due to the connection to the bible where Jesus said, ‘forgive them lord, as they do not know what they are doing’. It is common to hear someone say, ‘you need to do is forgive them in order to feel better’.
If the person is not religious, they often refuse to forgive and will be controlled by their thinking and hurt, and they will be unable to forgive. This will cause ongoing distress.
What we know in psychology?
All your emotions are programmed and triggered in the amygdala in your subconscious mind.
Traditional therapies don’t always work due to dissociation and subconscious forgiveness.
How can we duplicate the placebo effect and eliminate dissociation and subconscious forgiveness in psychology?
Leigh Skewes from Ballarat, Australia has developed a new self-help five-minute audio in which a person is able to eliminate subconscious dissociation and subconscious forgiveness by enabling the person to treat themselves by giving their intention to treat and therefore duplicating the placebo effect.
