To improve recovery after surgery, we have been using local anaesthetic mixtures injected around the joint during surgery since 2004.

Our vision is to provide patients of Ballarat and surrounding districts, with the highest quality Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine services with patient focused and individualised care. This "Local Infiltration Analgesia" in combination with multimodal therapy allows the majority of our patients having joint replacement surgery to move comfortably. Because of this improved pain management, patients are able to move easier, and regain their normal life faster. Most patients leave hospital sooner, but most importantly, the risk of complications is reduced by this early mobilisation.
