Heel pain isn’t always plantar fasciitis. It can come from Achilles issues, fat pad changes, nerve entrapment or even stress fractures.

It affects people who stand all day, work in retail or hospitality, parents on their feet and women experiencing hormonal changes.

If heel pain is slowing you down, our podiatrists can help you find the cause and get you moving comfortably again.

When someone comes in with a headache, our myotherapists start by understanding your full symptom picture.
We’ll talk through how long you’ve had the headaches, how often they happen, what they feel like and what makes them worse or better.

From there, we assess how your neck, shoulders and upper back are moving. This helps us work out whether the headache is coming from muscle tension, joint stiffness or neck-related dysfunction.

Once we know what’s driving it, we create a treatment plan to reduce pain, improve movement and help you get long-term relief.

Achilles feeling tight, sore or just not right?
These are the signs we see all the time:

• Morning stiffness through the calf or heel
• A tender spot you can press on
• Ache that flares with walking, running or long days on concrete
• Stiff at first, then warms up, then gets sore again later

Achilles tendinopathy shows up in lots of small, annoying ways and all of it is treatable.

If this sounds familiar, book an assessment at Modern Medicine. We’ll figure out what stage it’s in and how to settle it down properly.

Our dietitian Nicole breaks down how Ozempic works.
It’s a GLP-1 medication that mimics your natural hormones to reduce appetite, slow digestion and help regulate blood sugar. For many people, that means feeling fuller for longer.

If you’re considering medication, Nicole can help you understand what’s right for your health.

Not sure whether you need myotherapy or remedial massage?

Here’s a simple way to understand the difference.

Remedial massage focuses on releasing tight muscles and easing day-to-day tension.
Myotherapy looks deeper. It includes assessment, corrective exercise and targeted treatment for pain patterns, stiffness and recurring injuries.

Both support healthy movement. One is for relief, the other is for recovery.

If you’re unsure which is right for your body, our practitioners can guide you.

What is a GLP-1 medication?

GLP-1s are hormones your body naturally makes to help control appetite and blood sugar.
Medications like Ozempic, Saxenda and Mounjaro mimic these hormones.

They can help, but only when your nutrition and habits support the process. Without that, people risk losing muscle and slowing their metabolism.

If you’re using GLP-1s or thinking about it, our team can guide you safely and help you protect your long-term health.

Headaches and neck tension often go hand-in-hand.
During a session, we assess how your neck moves, check for tight muscles or stiff joints, and look for patterns that explain whether it’s tension-type or cervicogenic (neck-related).

Treatment is then tailored using techniques like hands-on release, dry needling, cupping, and gentle mobilisation to reduce tension and restore comfortable movement.

If headaches keep showing up, a targeted myotherapy session can help you understand what’s driving them and give you relief.

What do you do to support your posture?

12/11/2025

Alright, let’s talk about back pain because honestly, it’s everywhere. Around 4 million Australians are living with it right now.

In this video, our in-house Exercise Physiologist Lisa Dumayne explains one of the biggest misconceptions that back pain means weak abs.

As Lisa shares, your core isn’t just your stomach muscles. It’s your hips, back, and shoulders working together to support movement. It’s not about strength alone - it’s about control and coordination.

With a Master’s in Clinical Exercise Physiology and years of experience in movement rehab, Lisa focuses on what actually works: long-term, exercise-based treatment that builds strength, mobility, and resilience.

Watch to learn how you can move better and finally break the back-pain cycle.
