WHAT OTHER'S SAY ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE

"We had the most wonder-filled, expansive, nourishing experience at Soul Seed Sanctuary as we birthed our very own sacred drums into the world. Katherine is a world-class facilitator whose experience is apparent the moment one embarks on this journey with her.

Her genuine interest in her guests is obvious throughout the retreat as she adeptly identifies the myriad clues and cues in guests' musings and chatter; gently prompting the process of self discovery.

As attendees, our expectation was that we would make a beautiful drum and enjoy some relaxing drum journeys along the way, but as Katherine masterfully segued through each component of the retreat, what unfolded were transformative insights and wide-eyed “aha” moments wholly unexpected after many years of “doing the work”.

Back home, as we integrate this experience, we find ourselves missing Katherine and wishing we were back in the protective container she tirelessly held for us over this magical weekend. We will treasure our drums forever as both sacred instruments and as works of art created together as a family. We will forever cherish the memory of this drum-birthing process and we love knowing that our son will treasure our beautiful drums long after we have departed this realm.

We highly recommend this experience to anyone tired of the fruitless “blah blah blah” of the spiritual healing circuit, and to anyone looking for a genuine, tangible tool with which to soothe and advance the soul on the road to self-actualisation.

Summer Solstice Blessings! The Sun reaches its highest point in the sky, gifting us the longest day of the year and inviting us to celebrate the nourishing light that sustains all life. It is a sensual moment of ripeness and full blossom—fragrant, magnificent, alive—yet also a sacred pause, a “sun standing still” threshold where we can honour not only the light above us, but the light within us that longs to radiate outward into the world.

The Solstice is also a moment to take stock. Just as the Moon offers a monthly rhythm of reflection, the Sun offers a yearly cycle of growth, maturity and renewal—asking us to notice what the last six months have held, and how we have been shaped by it.

Summer is the season of the heart.
Joy. Fire. Connection. Play. Pleasure.
And like all fire — it asks to be tended wisely.

This time of year supports us to strengthen our discernment:

what deserves our life-force now

what is ready to wither

what needs to be composted

what is ripening into fruit

The earth knows this. The birds know this. The plants know this. And we do too — when we slow down enough to listen.

In the Southern Hemisphere, we now stand at the seasonal threshold of Samhain/Halloween — the traditional Celtic festival marking the end of the end of the harvest and the beginning of winter.

It’s a sacred time of descent — when the earth turns inward, the veils between worlds grow thin, and the voices of our ancestors become easier to hear.
This is not a time for productivity, but for deep remembering.
For tending the unseen realms — our dreams, our lineage, our grief, our wisdom.

Samhain invites us to pause and ask:
✨ What is ready to die?

Making it possible for you to walk in and access natural healthcare for you and your family on the spot- when you need it most. Whether it’s a cough, cold or fever, painful periods or anxiety or you would like information on your personal health care needs Acorn and Oak are here to bring you and your family back to health.

A naturopathic clinic and massage therapist will also be operating on the ground floor. Qi gong, information sessions, group acupuncture and women’s circles will also be running regularly upstairs.
