Today, staff and student of Biala School came together in the Ballina town centre to honour and remember those who have served and sacrificed for our country.

Our students and staff showed great respect and pride as they took part in the ANZAC Day commemorations, reflecting on the courage, resilience, and mateship that define this important day.

We are proud to support our community in remembering the past and recognising the contributions of those who came before us.

Lest we forget.

We welcome strong regulation, clear standards and accountability—and support increased scrutiny to protect participants and the integrity of the NDIS.

Small moments, big impact! Supporting Bella to build daily living skills through meaningful, hands‑on activities in an inclusive, supportive environment.

Moments like this might seem small, but they matter deeply. Building independence is about confidence, choice and believing in what you can achieve, one step at a time.

At Biala, our team supports people with their goals, not for them, creating space for independence to grow in ways that feel safe, meaningful and empowering.

And today, Bella showed us just how powerful that can be 🧩✨

🌱 Before ➡️ After

When Marlin’s in the zone, there’s no stopping him! These photos show just how productive he is when supported to stay on task and it’s all thanks to Biala’s Employment Support program.

Through partnerships with inclusive local businesses like Ward’s Landscape Supplies, participants like Marlin are gaining real-world experience, building confidence, and proving what’s possible when everyone gets a fair go 💪🏼

We’re proud of Marlin’s efforts and grateful to the team at Ward’s for fostering a workplace where all abilities are welcomed and valued.

Here’s to more opportunities, more inclusion, and more stories like this one. 💙

Mason, Lisa, Ben and June had a wonderful night out at Ballina Players, enjoying the Anne of Green Gables theatre production 🎭💙

The story of Anne reminded us how kindness, imagination and connection can change lives for the better; something our social group experience through shared moments like this.

From laughter to storytelling and being part of the local arts community, it was a night thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Through Biala’s Employment Support program, local businesses are discovering the real benefits of welcoming people of all abilities into their teams.

From fresh perspectives and new energy, to strengthened workplace culture and community connection, inclusive workplaces thrive when they reflect the diversity of the people around them.

With the right supports in place, participants are empowered to contribute in meaningful ways, while employers gain committed, capable team members who take pride in their work.

If you're a business that believes in equal opportunity, we’d love to talk about becoming a safe employer just like Ward’s Landscape Supplies, who recently partnered with us to support Marlin’s journey 👏
