🌿 What a marvellous month May has been across our Crowley community.

We celebrated Mother’s Day with special memories shared by residents and families, along with a beautiful Mother’s Day Luncheon supported by our wonderful Auxiliary. 💐

We also recognised and thanked the incredible people who make Crowley what it is - including International Nurses Day, honouring the skill and compassion of our nursing team, and National Volunteers Week, celebrating the generosity of our volunteers. 💛

As always, May has been filled with connection, care and community.

We look forward to all that June will bring. 🌿

🏉 What a great State of Origin clash last night!

Our staff certainly got into the spirit, proudly dressing up in their team colours, bringing plenty of friendly rivalry and fun to the day. 💙❤️

We’re proud to support the Diocesan Artprize 2026 and excited to host one of the local exhibitions later this year in our Activity Centre.

🎨 If you’re an artist, don’t miss this opportunity to be part of this wonderful event - entries close 24 August 🏆

Diocesan Art Prize 🎨

Following the fantastic turnout last year, we're delighted to see the art prize return again this year! The 2026 theme is 'The Face of Compassion'.

Bishop Greg Homeming says the art prize is an opportunity for artists to highlight the teachings of Jesus.

“Compassion lies at the heart of the Gospel and the mission of the Church. It is seen in Christ’s encounters with the vulnerable, outcast, and broken, and it continues to be lived out in the Church today.”

🏡 At Crowley Care, our residential care community is truly home for our residents, a place where they live, relax and feel safe each day.

We understand families may wish to look around when considering care options, however we do not offer general tours of our residential care home because the privacy, dignity and wellbeing of our residents always comes first.

When a suitable room becomes available, we warmly welcome prospective residents and their family to visit, meet our team and experience life at Crowley.

💛 Happy National Volunteers Week! (18–24 May)

At Crowley Care, our community spirit is felt in many ways, none more so than through the kindness and generosity of our volunteers.

From sharing a conversation, supporting activities like bingo and hoy, assisting residents to attend Mass, driving our shuttle bus, fundraising with the Auxiliary, or simply offering a friendly smile, our volunteers bring connection, companionship and joy to everyday life.

Their contributions are often given quietly, but the impact is deeply felt by our residents, clients and staff.

This week, we say a heartfelt thank you to our incredible volunteers. Your kindness truly helps make Crowley feel like home. 💛

Why not make 2026 Your Year to Volunteer at Crowley? We’d love to hear from you. Contact us on 1300 139 099.

💐 Mother’s Day Memories

“I have 3 daughters. My husband was a timber man, he built a house in Cawarra Street. We were the first ones in the street. The girls and I would love to go swimming in North Creek. There was a dredge that would pump sand from the creek to level up the park opposite where the girls would also play.”

💐 Mother’s Day Memories

“I have 3 children - 2 boys and 1 girl. I was very proud of them. They were excellent at sport. They did soccer, gymnastics judo and football. It was good fun. They would go to Sydney and Queensland to compete at times. We were very proud of them.”

👩‍⚕️Today we celebrate International Nurses Day and recognise the incredible contribution our team of nurses make to the care and wellbeing of our Crowley community.

This year’s theme, Our Nurses. Our Future. Empowered Nurses Save Lives, reflects what we see every day at Crowley - a team of dedicated professionals who bring skill, compassion and kindness to everything they do.

From providing comfort to building meaningful connections, our nurses make a difference in so many ways.

Thank you to our wonderful nursing team for the care you give each and every day. 💛

💐 Mother’s Day Memories

“I have 4 children. At first being a new mother was terrifying. I have lovely memories of when we would travel from Sydney to Byron Bay when the children were younger. We would stay for 3-4 weeks. The kids would have a great time, together we created many special family memories.”
