We’re excited to Live Life in Colour and celebrate the NSW Seniors Festival 2026! We have a vibrant week of colourful activities planned for our residents:

🎶 Tuesday 3 March - Music with Kathryn Jones from “The Big Sing”
🎨 Friday 6 March – “Our Colourful Life” group mural with Xavier Catholic College students
🖌️ Tuesday 10 March – “Life in Colour” art and craft colour memory card
👗 Thursday 12 March – “Live Life in Colour Dress Up Day” with staff fashion parade
📺Thursday 12 March – Premier’s Gala Concert screening

It’s a great chance to connect, celebrate and embrace the energy and creativity in our community.

What a fun February it’s been at Crowley Care! ❤️

🧺 Crowley’s amazing laundry team works hard behind the scenes every day - collecting, cleaning, sorting and returning laundry direct to Residential Care rooms.

To help our laundry and care teams return clothing safely to the right person, we kindly remind families and visitors of the importance of clothing labelling.

👕 Please remember:
All new or additional clothing should be taken to Reception first, where it will be documented and labelled before being returned to the resident’s room. This simple step helps prevent items from being misplaced and protects special or sentimental belongings.

🤝 Join the Crowley Care Auxiliary 🤝

If you’d like to meet new people, stay connected to your community and make a real difference, we warmly invite you to consider joining the Crowley Care Auxiliary.

Meetings are held on the fourth Monday of each month, and their fundraising helps enhance the lives of our residents in meaningful ways.

Pictured are our wonderful Auxiliary members with one of their latest purchases for Crowley - a mobile traditional Ice Cream Cart, bringing joy to events and everyday life. Delivering sweet scoops with a smile sparks fond memories and plenty of conversation. 🍦😊

🤝💙 Crowley Care is proud to support and host the NSW Health ‘Stepping On’ program each week in our Activity Centre.

This 7-week exercise program, delivered by NSW Health, is designed to help older adults who live at home reduce their risk of falls and maintain their independence by providing practical strategies, education and gentle movement in a welcoming group setting.

At Crowley Care, we’re proud to open our doors to programs that support safety, confidence and independence in our community. 💙

Love was in the air this week at Crowley! Our residents and staff brightened the day yesterday wearing pink and red as we celebrated friendship, love, and the special bonds that make our community so wonderful. With a few sweet surprises along the way, it was a day full of heartfelt moments. 💛

❤️ Valentine’s at Crowley: Love Stories That Last ❤️

Meet Stuart and Maureen, whose love story began in a university lab — working side by side for a year with no hint of romance. It wasn’t until a chaotic family camping trip at Sussex Inlet that love quietly blossomed.

Engaged just months later, they married in April 1955 and are now celebrating an incredible 70 years of marriage, with four children, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

💬 Their secret to a happy marriage?
Give and take, let each other do their own thing — but do the important things together.

Meet Gordon and Sharon, whose love story began at a party when Gordon, just 21, was playing his guitar. When 19-year-old Sharon walked in wearing a yellow and white panel dress, with beautiful black hair, Gordon says he knew straight away - she was the one he would marry.

Just 7 months later, they were married, beginning a journey that has now spanned 57 years. Together they’ve built a loving family of 3 children, 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

💬 Their secret to a happy marriage?
Love each other, listen to each other and care for each other.

Meet Jim and Bev, whose love story began with a blind date organised by Bev’s sister. After dinner with family, their very first date ended at the speedway - and clearly, it was a winning combination.
While they were dating, Jim and Bev loved Sunday picnics and trips to the movies, enjoying the simple pleasures of time spent together. After around three years of dating, they were married in March 1964.

Now, after 62 years of marriage, they share a beautiful family of 3 children, 2 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

💬 Their secret to a happy marriage?
Jim laughs, “When she says jump, I say how high.” 😄💕

❤️ Valentine’s at Crowley: Love Stories That Last ❤️

Meet Pat and Dawn, whose love story began at a Sunday night dance at Bronte Beach - with entry costing just two shillings. Pat was 24, Dawn was 19, and from that night on, their story was set in motion.

They became engaged in May 1955 and married in April 1956, beginning a journey that has now spanned nearly seven decades. Together they’ve raised 3 children, welcomed 7 grandchildren, and now delight in 7 great-grandchildren.

This year, Pat and Dawn will celebrate an incredible 70 years of marriage — and as Pat happily shares, Dawn still likes him! 💛

💬 Their secret to a happy marriage?
Respect each other, and when you make your vows, you stick to them.
