Breakfast inspo: ☀️
I wanted to make a curried egg with a difference for breakfast. We had some heirloom tomato slices left over and some gluten free Lebanese bread.

I boiled a couple of eggs 🥚, smashed them with a fork 🍴, added 1 teaspoon of Yaman Mullumbimby - Traditional Yemenite Food baharat spice, with mayo- mix well.
The toasted bread, egg topped with sautéed tomato 🍅 and herbs 🌿 from my garden was delicious.
Kept my energy levels up for hours. A simpler way of creating a delicious breakfast with a bit of a different take . Follow me for more tips on nutrition & healthy eating 🍽️

“How long will this treatment take” ? “I’m sick of these symptoms and I want to get better now””This should take a month to recover, right?”

✅Healing is unique to our body, depending on the length of time we have been experiencing symptoms .

✅Are medications being prescribed?

✅when folk I see have experienced symptoms for several years, predictions are that it will take few months to recover.

✅acute= symptoms present for a short time, ie. less than three months. Usually a fast recovery ❤️‍🩹

✅chronic fatigue, pain and infection reducing our capacity to function, heal & get on with life, these have been present for over 3 months.

What even is gluten? Gluten isn’t one thing- it’s a group of proteins (mainly gliadin & glutenin) found in wheat, barley, rye & spelt.
🥪gliadin helps the baked bread stretch and rise, and for some of use it’s more ouch 😣 than delicious.
Gluten provides strength and elasticity to baked goods, holding air pockets.

I’m using yellow split peas,they take longer to cook than red split peas. My top tip is to massage the Dahl, keep adding stock, move it round the hot plate if you are cooking from a pan.

Alison has over a decade in dispensary and clinical medicine experience which has given her a unique opportunity to help literally hundreds of people to a better place in health and experience in natural medicine. Alison’ special interests are Nutritional Medicine, Medical Herbalism, Lifestyle advice, Functional Medicine and preventative medicine. Alison enjoys public speaking in her community to raise awareness on health issues and encourage preventative medicine where possible, mentor and practitioner support services are also provided.

Professional education is critical in keeping up to date with today's advancements in science and natural medicine, this year we will be attending Congress of Natural Medicine, we’re excited to bring you the updates and developments in Natural Medicine research. Lighthouse Naturopathy aims to keep health achievable, simple and myth free we spend a lot of time on the education of nutritional and herbal medicine support that is evidence based. We encourage good food, life balance and excellent nutrition to move forward in health.
