Dahl is one of those super easy dinners that we can make, meal prep and freeze for another day. I find soaking my red lentils for a couple of hours before making Dahl adds to the consistency and delicious 😋 texture. Gut health winner and cheap ✅

Monday fun day. We discussed how Monday’s seem to flow on with the easiest made meal for dinner.
Our favourite hack is to roast a bunch of heirloom tomatoes, 🍅 splashed with salt, pepper, an inch of sugar and balsamic vinegar.

🍅The roast tomatoes 🍅 becomes a great base for sauces, for pasta, pizza, salad, whatever you like. Store in the fridge for a delicious 😋 punch of flavour to meals.

Meal prep feels like self care 💛. I love making Dahl to create rich, nutrient dense high fibre meals. Shimmering gloss of Dahl with lentils high in fibre for beneficial gut bacteria with anti inflammatory spices like black pepper, turmeric and ginger 🫚.

Alison provides evidence based practice in a caring environment informing, educating and sharing her experience so you can live the most fulfilled life possible. Alison is an advocate for your health, identifying the cause of health issue/s not just symptom relief. You will be cared for as if you were part of the family, medications, lifestyle and dietary issues are addressed as part of your wellness plan.

Alison has over a decade in dispensary and clinical medicine experience which has given her a unique opportunity to help literally hundreds of people to a better place in health and experience in natural medicine. Alison’ special interests are Nutritional Medicine, Medical Herbalism, Lifestyle advice, Functional Medicine and preventative medicine. Alison enjoys public speaking in her community to raise awareness on health issues and encourage preventative medicine where possible, mentor and practitioner support services are also provided.

Professional education is critical in keeping up to date with today's advancements in science and natural medicine, this year we will be attending Congress of Natural Medicine, we’re excited to bring you the updates and developments in Natural Medicine research. Lighthouse Naturopathy aims to keep health achievable, simple and myth free we spend a lot of time on the education of nutritional and herbal medicine support that is evidence based. We encourage good food, life balance and excellent nutrition to move forward in health.
