2023 was an awesome year.

Unicorn Care has grown beyond anything I’d imagined.
As I want to remain a Sole Operator so this means I often ask other independent Support Workers to help out with some clients support hours rather than employ someone as an employee.

Also some if not most clients I believe need a variety of people assisting them with their day to day life. Creating a team of Independent Supports can only help people with day to day living tasks. Of course we need NDIS Support Coordinators and Aged Care plan managers to direct the traffic as probably the most important part of any individual clients team.

So it’s been a wonderful year, from assisting an Aged Care client shopping, cleaning the kitty litter or hanging clothes out to watching an NDIS client grow in stature and confidence.
I still pinch myself thinking, I get paid to do this ….. and then kitty has a bad day and that brings me back to earth with a smelly thud.

So thanks to everyone for helping me help others.

12 months on since officially starting up Unicorn Care. Although I was working with some clients for about 6 months before this happened.
The journey has been great and I have a mixture of Aged Care and NDIS clients.

Here’s looking forward to the next 12 months.
