What is a bleb? 😖 (And why does it hurt so much?)
A bleb — or milk blister — is a small white, yellow, or clear dot on the ni**le, caused by a blockage right at the surface of the duct.
Here’s what’s really going on 👇
There’s an inflammatory reaction inside the duct, which causes immune and inflammatory fluid to mix with milk. This mixture can congeal and lodge in the ni**le pore, forming a little plug that traps milk behind it.
You might feel:
• Sharp, stinging, or burning pain
• A visible white or yellow dot on the ni**le
• Pain that worsens during letdown or feeding
• A feeling of pressure or pinching at the tip
The milk trapped behind it may feel like cottage cheese in the breast tissue.
✨ Blebs aren’t just a skin issue — they’re a sign of inflammation and disrupted milk flow.
And if they keep showing up, there’s always a reason: latch, milk stasis, friction, or internal duct dynamics.
You don’t need to dig it out — you need the right support.
