We're in Sydney, and we know our community is focused on building real-world skills. Use these 5 Low-Cost Hacks to turn your home into a life skills training center today:
1. The Mini-Kitchen Challenge: Start by having them prepare a simple meal (like a sandwich or microwaved meal).
2. Visual Morning Routine: Use pictures or a checklist to let them choose their own clothes and tasks.
3. The Matching Game: Turn folding laundry into a fun game of matching socks or colors.
4. 🪙 Picture Budgeting: Use real coins or picture cards to teach money value and simple saving.
5. 🛒 Visual Shopping Lists: Write shopping lists using pictures next to the words to prepare them for grocery shopping.
