As Speech Pathologists we have so much passion and care for our clients - we are also trying to run sustainable businesses and support our families and 6 years is a long time and now too long. Our colleagues Speech Ease Speech Pathology summarise it so in their post shared below.

To our clients you are valued and we will remain committed though we are in the midst of making changes so we can continue to provide the level of service and care moving forward.
For many years, NDIS has provided services to the community that they wouldn’t be able to access without them at no cost and provided those within the working sector of disability ability to provide access. Moving forward it appears NDIS is moving in to a model of “rebated” services & care like Medicare. If the government continues to freeze the hourly service rate and half travel costs businesses will begin to close at higher rates and I’ve worked too hard to have this happen. Therefore as a business we are changing our model to move with inflation, cost of living and wage rises. NDIS promote choice and control and this is how we need to move forward within our own business.

Talk The Walk Speech Pathology is looking for a new team member for 2025! This is a great opportunity to work within a lovely country community.

We're looking for a wonderful qualified Speech Pathologist (SP) - both new graduates and experienced practitioners are welcome to apply. The position will be clinic based with some mobile work in Golden Plains. This position will commence Jan/Feb 2025 (negotiable).

The successful practitioner/s will have a great work ethic and passion, can work as a part of a team, but also happy and confident working independently.

Hours, days and start/finish times are flexible.
Part time Employee (Flexible days/ hours)
Regular Supervision and Mentoring
Paediatric caseload

Don't forget our new Oral Language Playgroup starts next Friday. The response so far has been great with the group nearly at capacity. This group is not a replacement for targeted therapy or group intervention BUT a group for all children within the ages of 2;6-4yrs to assist the development of their comprehension, following instructions, vocabulary expansion and other skills to assist development.
