Why We Need This

Modern life has one major thing in common: we sit a lot.
Whether it’s at desks, in cars, or on couches—our hips and lower body are compressed for long periods of time. This daily posture creates fascial restrictions behind the knees, across the hamstrings, glutes, and into the lower back.

We also move asymmetrically.
We drive with the right foot, we twist in specific directions, and we develop habitual postures that favor one side over the other.

Pretzel Squat uses counter-rotation to drive pressure into the pelvic region, hips, and legs. Internal rotation of the arms opens fascia in the legs, freeing the quad, hamstring, and adductors of restriction. All three zones of the body are engaged!
