A new chapter coming to life ✨

For Dr Jaspreet Saini and the team at , this relocation was a first and with it came all the unknowns, decisions and moving parts that come with building a new space from the ground up.

Our job was simple: make it feel easy, handle the complexity, guide each step, and quietly manage the moving parts behind the scenes. Ensure that what’s built reflects the care and purpose of the people who will work here every day.

And now, their new space is nearly ready, beautifully designed, thoughtfully delivered, and already beginning to feel like home.

At Akord Projects, we take responsibility for the complexity, the approvals, the design constraints, the technical challenges, the unexpected decisions that surface along the way. We navigate it so our clients don’t have to.
medical came with its own challenges, site restrictions, budgets and design intent, but none of it had to fall on the client’s shoulders. Our job is to hold that weight and deliver something that feels simple when it’s complete.

What looks effortless rarely is. That’s the work.

The brand was established before the first sketch. The role of design was to carry it forward, not to add to it, but to let it take form.

At .medical, every detail was shaped to reflect that foundation. The feature wall, the reception, the frontage, the framed artwork, the doors, each element quietly reinforces the identity without ever needing to compete for attention.

The result is a space that feels complete. Balanced, familiar, and fully aligned with the experience the practice offers.

A space where the brand isn’t seen as separate from the architecture. Instead, it simply lives within it.

Care doesn’t begin at the consultation. It begins the moment you step inside.

At , Australia’s first dedicated women’s health clinic of its kind, the waiting room was never intended to simply fill time. It was conceived as a quiet prelude to care: a space offering stillness before a word is spoken.

Layered textures, softened forms, and a considered palette create an atmosphere of understated ease, a calm, tactile counterpoint to the sterility so often expected of healthcare environments. Here, the experience is shaped by what you feel, not what you see.

This is a waiting room in name only. In practice, it holds space for women, their stories, and the quiet dignity of being seen and cared for.

The best design doesn’t announce itself. It recedes, leaving only a sense of calm and the feeling that you are exactly where you are meant to be.

For a practice to keep running smoothly, the build behind it needs to do the same.

The space at Mona Vale Doctors was delivered with care for those at the front desk, in the consult rooms, and behind the scenes. And every decision, from timing to finishing detail, was made to support what matters most: uninterrupted care.

Stage 1 at Mona Vale Doctors has reached completion, shaped not only by what was built, but by how it was built.

Working alongside Cindy Wong and the team was a reminder of what thoughtful collaboration can achieve. From the earliest meetings through to the end of Stage 1, the process was responsive, measured, and anchored in shared intent. Ideas were exchanged with care, decisions were made with purpose, and every detail was shaped with people in mind, not only patients but also the practitioners who care for them.

What now stands is a space that doesn’t try to impress; it simply works. With ease, with flow, and with a feeling that everything is exactly where it should be.

A space begins with architecture. But it comes to life through collaboration.

Stage 1 at is now complete, and with the foundations of something enduring have taken shape.

From the earliest conversations, this project moved with purpose. Every detail was shaped by clear thinking, mutual respect, and a shared belief in doing things properly.

What exists now is more than the first phase of a build. It’s a space already doing what it was meant to: offering clarity, calm, and care for those who walk in, and for those who work within it.

Measured. Intentional. Ready for what comes next.
