For every “PT” or influencer out there trying to sell you some dogsh*t program, there are SO MANY trainers out there that really do want to HELP you.

There are plenty of us that actually want to support and educate you.

If you’re like me, keeping some sort of a routine whilst on holidays is a non-negotiable.

It keeps the body moving and the mind in a good spot.

If you’d prefer to get pi**ed by the pool drinking cocktails all day, that is ALSO FINE🍹

There’s no right or wrong. It’s your holiday. Do what YOU want to do.

If however, you want to get a few sessions in, just keep in mind that you are on holidays after all.

Keep it simple. Be efficient.

Use what’s available but don’t overdo it, just like today for me👇🏻

Just wanted to give a quick shout out to all the sub-optimal bros tonight.

If you think you can’t grow a back by doing deadlifts, bent over rows and pull ups, I beg to differ 😅

I have done THOUSANDS of reps of these 3 exercises in between these photos.

Now don’t get me wrong, you can get a bigger back by using the right machines and cable pulldowns.

But stop being so worried about the LinE of PuLL every time it’s back day mate 🤷🏻‍♂️

Deadlifts, bent over rows and pull ups all have a place in the world of hypertrophy.

Don’t let some TikTok keyboard warrior who has been lifting for 5 minutes tell you otherwise.

However you want to look at it, there’s still plenty of time left in the year to make progress.

If you’re just getting started, use the remainder of 2022 to take some momentum into next year.

If there was a couple of things I could go back to tell myself about making progress 👇🏻

1. Not every workout will be perfect and that’s fine.

2. Focus often but enjoy what you’re doing just as much.

3. Hard work and intent are unmatched.

4. Ask for help. Learn as you go. Be open to external support and guidance.

5. Get comfortable being uncomfortable. The process is worthwhile because it IS hard.

6. If you keep showing up for long enough, I promise you the rewards will be there eventually.

It encompasses how you feel, how you function and how you live.

This client is in his 60’s and had a heart attack in recent years.

He has kids and grandkids.

Instead of throwing in the towel, he made a choice and took action.

I got this message from him today ❤️

Never take your health for granted.
