JUST MAKE SOME CHANGES!
Small changes and stick with it.
Make one change a week every week and the compound effect is a big result 3 - 6 - 12 months down the track. Not long in the scheme of time.
Simple and specific changes
Drink 2 litres of water per day, every day.
Eat 3 meals a day and no snacks.
Eat fruit and vegetables every day and every meal.
Go to be at 9 pm and wake at 5.30 am - set your alarms
Journal for 10 minutes each night before bed.
Lots of quick and easy suggestions, that can pack a punch in the longer term.
Persevere!

New Collaboration - Sometimes we just need to champion each other.
Linda and I have joined forces and resources to bring Wholehearted Nutrition.
Whole to our Hearts to educate and empower Women 40+ to use Whole foods to nourish them and regain their Vitality.
As women we tend to put ourselves and our health towards the bottom of the list. I've been there and done that, and with not so great results.
I got to a point where I had to put myself first so I could function on a level to be able to be there for my children, family and friends and enjoy life. If I didn't, who the hell knows where I would be know, certainly not feeling as good as I do.
So furthering my love of natural health and complementary therapies, I focused on nutrition as we have a family of coeliacs so I had a good understanding.
Making changes, learning about food and how it can heal or hinder our health opened up a new avenue.
I am passionate about helping women taking control of their health with wholefoods and sometime we need a bit of support with supplements. Ultimately education is key so you have the knowledge and the connection back to your body and mind to listen to and read your signs and take action!
I look forward to working more closely with the talented and passionate Linda from Linda Young Nutrition and empowering Women through their next stage of life to take on the world!
Here's to a great 2023 and kicking goals be it personal, work or anything you want to achieve.

I see ladies 40+ all too often try to shift excess weight by increasing their exercise (sometimes to crazy amounts!) and yet they fail to switch up their nutrition enough to see a result.
You could be eating really healthy foods, but if you’re eating them at the wrong time and eating the wrong portion sizes, you could be encouraging your body to STORE more fat, not burn it.
Or, maybe there’s a food you’re eating that your body really doesn’t like. And it could be
If you are at the gym ALL the time and yet you still can’t shift that body fat, then we need to talk!

One habit with Metabolic Balance is to eat an apple a day.
The older varieties - Granny Smith, Red Delicious, Jonathon or Golden Delicious.
Newer varieties are bred to produce a sweeter fruit.
Why not incorporate an apple in with a salad?
Try and mix it up.

Let your food be your medicine.
Eating a healthy and varied diet is important for the foundation of your health and wellbeing.
Foods have healing properties due to the nutrients that they contain.
Preferable organic to reduce the exposure to chemicals and pesticides
Grow a very herbs in pots or a small garden to add fresh herbs to meals.
A diet that is high in processed foods, may be "cheap" at the time, but the long term health effects and potential for needing treatment for chronic conditions and the burden on your quality of your life is a lot more "expensive" in the end.

How to Build A Healthy Plate in 5 steps:
1. Pick a protein to base your meal around.
2. Veggies! It’s not a meal without them!
3. Healthy fats (this one has avo and olive oil)
4. Fruit is best eaten with a meal, with this one I ate the strawbs last for that palate cleansing sweetness!
5. Slow Carbs - like these buckwheat crispbreads from Orgran
