🌟📚 Children’s Book Week 2025 📚🌟
Theme: Book an Adventure

It’s been a little while since I last posted, but I couldn’t let Book Week pass without celebrating the magic that is book reading ✨.

Books take us on the most incredible adventures — whether it’s diving into a world of tigers, learning all about soccer, or exploring the secret life of cats 🐅⚽🐾. Every page opens up new opportunities for children to grow their speech, language, and literacy skills.

It’s never too late to rediscover the joy of reading together. What book adventures are you and your children heading off on this Book Week?

✨ Time to Rest and Recharge ✨

What an incredible block it has been at Speech with Impact! We’ve seen so much growth — confident conversations to stronger reading, clearer speech, and braver social interactions. I am so proud of the hard work my clients and families have put in. 💪💬🌟

Now it’s time for a well-earned break. We’ll be closed from Sunday 30th June to Monday 14th July to rest, recharge, and reset.

Treatment Block 3 will begin on Tuesday 15th July — and I can’t wait to dive back in, rested and ready to keep building on all the amazing progress.

⚠️ Important Announcement: Clinic Closure This Thursday & Friday ⚠️

Due to predictions that Tropical Cyclone Alfred will make landfall this week, Speech with Impact will be closed on Thursday and Friday. Authorities have warned that this Category 2 system may bring severe winds and flash flooding.

To prioritise everyone’s safety and prevent unnecessary travel, we have made the decision to close the clinic on these days. We appreciate your understanding and will be in touch to reschedule appointments as needed.

🎄 Christmas Closure Announcement 🎄

Speech with Impact will be closed from Wednesday, December 18th, to Monday, January 13th.

During this time, emails will still be monitored, but our responses may take a little longer than usual.

As we wrap up another wonderful year, we’re excited to start planning speech pathology services for 2025!

To our valued clients and families, we’d love to hear from you. If you’d like to continue accessing services next year, please let us know by Friday, the 13th of December.

Here’s what we need to know:
✅ Will your current day and time slot still work for your family in 2025?
✅ If not, let us know your availability, and we’ll do our best to offer an alternative.

Your feedback helps us create a timetable that works for everyone and allows us to offer places to families on our waiting list.

In just TWO short weeks, Treatment Block Four kicks off, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be back after my shoulder reconstruction! 🙌 After three weeks on sick leave, I’m eager to return to supporting my amazing clients as they work towards both new and existing goals.

Today, I want to send a special shout-out to all my wonderful colleagues, our clients, and the amazing mothers of our clients. Being a mum is a journey that’s never easy and always tiring, but it’s one I would never exchange for anything else in the world.

I hope you enjoy my page.

I initially started this page to share information about my new practice as I transitioned from an academic to a clinical role. As my page and practice have grown I have noticed I am being followed more by speech therapists than clients and their families.

In 2024, Speech with Impact alongside Dr Tanya Rose is launching a space dedicated to supporting new graduate and early career speech pathologists. I am very excited to start 2024. I hope you are too.
