We had a marvellous morning tea today to honour one of our wonderful residents, Ross Hoiberg, for his incredible 50 years of service as a JP.

Surrounded by friends, fellow residents, and special guest Stephen Bennett MP we celebrated Ross’s dedication to the community over the years.

From his time as a senior officer with the Calliope Shire Council to his many business ventures with his wife Dianne, Ross has always been a passionate community contributor. Even after facing major health challenges, his spirit and commitment never wavered.

This Anzac Day, we come together to mark the 110th anniversary of the Gallipoli landing—one of our nation's most significant occasions. It is a day that holds deep meaning for many of our residents and their families as we reflect, remember, and honour the courage and sacrifice of our service men and women.

Their legacy lives on in the stories we share, the respect we show, and the gratitude we hold.
