🌿 Protesters Falls Walk – Nightcap National Park
Distance: 1.4 km return
Difficulty: Easy–moderate
A beautiful rainforest walk that follows Terania Creek to the base of Protesters Falls. The track winds through lush subtropical rainforest filled with palms, ferns and towering trees. This walk is also rich in history, commemorating the 1979 Terania Creek protests that helped protect these forests. Wildlife sightings are common. Swimming is not permitted to protect the fragile ecosystem.
💦 Minyon Falls Lookout Track – Nightcap National Park
Distance: 1.3 km return
Difficulty: Easy
This short, well-maintained walk leads to a spectacular lookout over Minyon Falls, where water plunges over 100 metres into the valley below. Along the way you’ll enjoy panoramic views, native birdlife and classic Nightcap rainforest scenery. A great option if you want something scenic without a long hike.
🌳 Unicorn Falls Track – Mount Jerusalem National Park
Distance: approx. 4 km return
Difficulty: Moderate
A peaceful rainforest walk through Mount Jerusalem’s ancient caldera landscape. The track passes through mossy forest, hoop pines and shaded gullies before reaching the gentle cascades of Unicorn Falls. Less visited than other walks, it offers a quieter, more immersive bush experience.
🌄 Brindle Creek Loop – Border Ranges National Park
Distance: approx. 6 km loop
Difficulty: Moderate
This loop walk showcases the dramatic escarpments and World Heritage-listed rainforest of the Border Ranges. Expect ancient trees, lyrebirds, and occasional lookouts across deep valleys. A rewarding walk for those wanting to experience the scale and biodiversity of this unique landscape.
