NOTICE OF A CLINIC CLOSURE FROM 1pm till 130pm TODAY
The clinic will be closed for approx 30 minutes from 1pm to 1:30pm today due to an planned power outage. Phone lines will aldo br out of service dyring this time.

Influenza Vaccine Program 2025 💉💉💉

We have opened some further influenza vaccination appointments over the coming weeks for anyone who is still requiting a vaccination.
Dates are:
Wednesday 25th June
Thursday 26th June
Friday 27th June
Friday 4th July

All vaccine types are available including :
✅The free annual influenza program:
• aged over 65
• 5 years to 64 years and within an eligible group
• children aged 6 months to 4 years can be booked into a family flu clinic where their immediate family can also attend with them for a vaccination (free or private).

✅For those that do not qualify we have a Private flu vaccine available this is for patients who are not eligible but choose to purchase an influenza vaccine.

Eligible groups for 2025 and include:
• Pregnant women (at any stage of pregnancy)
• Children aged 6 months to less than five years
• Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 6 months and over
• People aged 65 years and over
• Adults and children experiencing homelessness
• People aged from 6 months to 64 years with certain medical conditions, these medical conditions include:
- cardiac disease
- chronic respiratory conditions (including severe asthma)
- chronic neurological conditions that increase the risk of respiratory infection (including hereditary and degenerative central nervous system diseases and seizure disorders)
- immunocompromising conditions (including immunocompromised due to disease or treatment)
- diabetes and other metabolic disorders
- renal disease
- haematological disorders (including haemoglobinopathies)
- children aged 6 months to 10 years on long term aspirin therapy who are at increased risk of Reye syndrome following influenza infection.

Assist with patient health assessments and care planning.

Educate patients and families about health management and care plans.
Support the administrative functions of the clinic, such as recall management and stock ordering, and complete general housekeeping duties.

Qualifications:
Bachelor of Nursing or Diploma of Nursing
Previous experience in a nursing role (within general practice is desired).
Previous experience with Best Practice software (desired), along with Microsoft Office.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
Full and unrestricted AHPRA registration.

Influenza Vaccine Program 2025 💉💉💉 are now open for bookings at the Barmera Medical Clinic.

Depending on your criteria you will booked into the appropriate clinic and advised of the instructions to attend.

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our team.

You would be employed under the Health Professionals and Support Services Award. The position is Part-Time for 3 days per week (20-25 hours) plus the flexibility to cover additional hours for planned & unplanned leave.

Key requirements:
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft (outlook, excel and word)
• Any medical software experience or similar is desirable
• Ability to prioritise and multi-task
• Good organisation and communication skills
• Excellent telephone manner
• Ability to keep calm and work in a very busy environment
• Willingness to take initiative in challenging situations
• A positive and enthusiastic attitude that will exceed expectations
• Exceptional customer service skills

Influenza Vaccine Program 2024 ( or as we call them ‘Flu Clinics’) 💉💉💉 are open for bookings at the Barmera Medical Clinic.

Currently clinics are open and you can book via HotDocs or by phoning 85882040.

If possible could phone calls to make a booking only be made after 930am. Depending on your criteria you will booked into the appropriate clinic and advised of the instructions to attend.

For those people who do not qualify for a government funded free vaccine we do provide clinics where you can choose to purchase a vaccine.

Various clinic dates are available to book via HotDoc or call the clinic to secure your booking.
