- did we mention cacao ? -

This cheeky little bean is a part of our Autumn Equinox retreat. Why? Well, in times gone past, cacao was used as a tool of deep refection and a teacher of quiet wisdom. When we consciously share and drink in circle, we make space to reconnect with our heart. We make room to tend to our relationships. And we remember what it is to journey through Life with clear vision and purpose.

AND when your cups are hand made by a soul buddy

everything is just good.

- adjustments -

The gentle practice of touch is an integral part of body work. Adjustments are an act of true intimacy - an art form that can take many years to learn. Asana adjustment ask us to look beyond the physical alignment of a posture. So as to allow ourselves within the energetic expression of a pose.

I love being adjusted. And I feel honoured when someone trusts the space enough to receive them.

Curious?
Our Autumn Yoga Retreat is for you.

Today marks our 2023 Summer Solstice.

The Summer Solstice is the longest day of our year, meaning our strongest and fullest yang energy. This expression of movement is our super-active, let’s do stuff, masculine / father
driving gear (regardless of gender). Thought to be associated astrologically with the Capricorn-esque, earth like qualities: these are our ambitious, stoic and self-reliant just-work-at-it qualities.

And soon, they’re at their peak.

The time around Summer Solstice feels expansive in quality. With our skies full of this hyper-buzz, we’re currently moving between crazy early mornings and ridiculously long twilights. Mix that with a weird El Nino weather pattern and you may find yourself hitting struggle street where your head feels like it might explode. If the wheels are falling off and you’re lost in the to-do lists of the season, gift yourself a moment. Check in with where you are pushing / controlling / holding too hard. This is the shadow expression of Capricorn.

Aim to strike a balance between what’s moving all around you with the stillness that lays beneath.

There is a steady strength there,
let yourself be One with it.

When we remember that we have been building to this moment from our deepest dark of June’s Winter Solstice, it may give us a clarity around why we’re feeling all our feels. Life’s cycles as told by the seasonal skies are woven into our stories and we currently
within our brightest expression of light. This is where we shift from working on developing our Winter seeds to finding a place where they can nourish the world. If it’s hard to know where to focus in your head, consider it in your heart. Try to listen for what’s behind the noise. Hear the language that works for You.

Understanding builds compassion.

And allows you to speak your truth wisely. xx
