Research suggests that around 76% of women may have some degree of prolapse without even realising it, because many women don’t experience any symptoms.
This was highlighted in a past MumSafe™ training with Women’s Health Physiotherapist Marissa Joseph (Sydney Women’s Physiotherapy) and it’s such an important reminder for us as trainers and for the mums we support.
Why this matters?
Too often, mums assume that if there’s no heaviness, dragging, or bladder changes, everything must be fine. But prolapse can exist silently and waiting for symptoms means missing the chance to prevent future issues.
Women’s health physios don’t just treat problems ... they:
1️⃣Screen for early signs you may not notice.
2️⃣Teach you how to safely build pelvic floor strength and function.
3️⃣ Guide your recovery after birth, surgery, or injury.
4️⃣ Help you stay strong, confident, and active well into motherhood, peri-menopause, and beyond.
As trainers, we’re here to support safe return to exercise , and when we collaborate with physios, you get the complete picture: assessment, prevention and exercise strategies that truly set you up for long-term success.
Don’t wait for symptoms. Seeing a women’s health physio is one of the most valuable investments you can make for your future health. Prevention is always better than cure.
At MumSafe™, we believe every mum deserves this level of support, so you can move, train, and live with confidence for years to come.
