This mothers day, iโm honouring my beautiful mother who is the only reason i have this business in the first place.
At 16/17 i wanted to be a makeup artist & hairdresser, my mum advised me to do this on the weekend, but i have to go uni & do something Iโd enjoy.
All my life my mum turned to holistic remedies when we were sick, such as rose water when our stomach hurt, spoonful of honey when we were coughing, garlic for bee stings & vinegar compress for fevers. This made me have a love for holistic remedies & wanted a career similar in practice.
While searching, naturopath came up but i thought there are so many muslim women naturopath. Then i seen bachelor of Chinese medicine which interested me! I started to read about it & loved what i seen about herbal medicine & acupuncture. I thought itโs not common to see a Muslim women chinese medicine dr, shortly after i got into the course!
During my first semester i wanted to drop out as i found it very hard. I was the only one in my year group who was fresh out of school with no knowledge of medicine like the nurses/midwives in my class or chinese culture/medicine like the students who were taking over their parents business. My mum pushed me to stay & explained itโll get easier as i learn more. So i stayed, & of course she was right. Iโm so grateful for her constant guidance & support, because of her the healing studio started!
Forever in debt to my beautiful mother. Occasionally i think what could of been if my mum didnโt advise me otherwise. This makes me 1000 times grateful because i truly love what i doโจ
If you have read up to here, thank you for your support๐ค
