RIP Ralph

We are both so heartbroken to say that we lost little Ralphy yesterday 😭 He joins the rest of his kin that have gone before him and he will be so missed.

The day before he had hopped the length of his enclosure. He ate with gusto and gave us a false sense of security surrounding his health.

His heart and mind wanted to stay but his little body was just too compromised.

This is how we expect things to be for some time. The wildlife will find their way into our arms for relief and love, and to find a peaceful way to exit this world. It is why we are here, not just to save but to also give these animals a safe place to pass. Surrounded by love and without fear.

Our hearts are hurting for Ralph, but we will keep working. We will keep caring for the animals that come to us with all our hearts. They need us more than ever. We will not give up.
