💛 Farewell to Jess Hopwood 💛

As we enter the new year we must say a very fond farewell to our wonderful Trauma and Adolescent Psychologist, Jess Hopwood.

Jess joined our team in June 2023 and from the very beginning brought with her an incredible depth of care, skill, and heart. From day dot, Jess has been deeply committed to empowering the young people in her care - she created a space where young people felt safe, believed in, and genuinely understood.

Beyond the therapy room, we’ve loved her lively spirit - whether it was her sheer delight at the sight of a puppy or her ability to coax you into abandoning your packed lunch in favour of a lunch date at local cafe. What we will miss most is Jess’ unwavering advocacy for children and adolescents, her belief in their resilience, and her dedication to helping them find their voice and strength.

While we are sad to see her go, we can hardly blame her for heading somewhere sunny and beachy 🌞🌊.

Jess, thank you for everything you have given to our clients, our team, and our community. You will be deeply missed, and we wish you every success and happiness in this next chapter.

New year - New Group 💃🎉

Discover the joy of movement in our Beginner Bellydance for Wellbeing class this term. Designed for complete beginners, this class focuses on gentle, accessible movements that support body awareness, coordination, and confidence.

This bellydance class is all inclusive and celebrates every body shape and size. Please come as you are in comfortable attire that you can move in. Active wear is perfect and don't worry there is no requirement at all to show off your midrift. Hip scarfs will be available so you can enjoy the jingle as you wiggle along to the music.

You’ll learn foundational bellydance techniques at a relaxed pace, with an emphasis on improving your health and wellbeing through movement. No prior dance experience is needed—just curiosity and a willingness to move.

This class offers a welcoming, supportive space to unwind, connect with yourself, and boost your wellbeing through music and movement.

🎄✨ End-of-Year Christmas Celebration ✨🎄

What a beautiful way to wrap up the year! Our team spent the day at the fabulous Winburndale Vineyard & Winery, right here in Bathurst, soaking up the scenery, creativity, and great company.

A huge thank you to Claire and David, who were exceptional and accommodating hosts and treated us to a delightful wine tasting. 🍷 We also embraced our artistic side, taking on the challenge of painting the stunning winery landscapes under the expert guidance of the incredibly talented Bernadette Wood 🎨

We thank everyone who has supported the Centre throughout the year and we will see you on the other side of restful holiday period.
