💙 Not all disabilities are visible 💙

This week we acknowledge Invisible Disabilities Week, recognising and supporting individuals living with conditions that may not be immediately seen — but are deeply felt.

From chronic pain and anxiety to ADHD, sensory processing disorders and more, every experience deserves understanding, respect, and inclusion.

At Millers Complete Care, we’re committed to supporting people of all abilities — visible and invisible — with compassion, care, and dignity. 💙

🌟 INVISIBLE DISABILITIES WEEK 2025: 19-25 OCTOBER🌟

Not all disabilities can be seen—but their impact is real. People with invisible disabilities often face stigma, disbelief, and questions about their legitimacy, simply because others cannot see the challenges they live with every day.

🤝 At Abbeena, we believe true inclusion means understanding, respecting, and supporting all needs, visible or hidden. Through the NDIS, participants can access tailored supports to help them live their lives fully, even when challenges aren’t obvious.

💡 Ways to support people with invisible disabilities:
👂 Listen without judgment: Trust people when they share their needs.
💬 Provide accommodations: Flexibility and understanding make a real difference.
🌻 Use support tools: Be aware of tools like the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower, a discreet symbol worn to show that the person may need extra support.

October is Mental Health Awareness Month 🧠

At Millers Complete Care, we believe mental health is just as important as physical health.
Let’s take time to check in on ourselves and others — a simple conversation, a kind word, or a small act of support can make a big difference. 💙

October is Mental Health Month in Australia. This year’s theme, “Taking Steps on Your Wellbeing Journey”, reminds us that wellbeing is an ongoing process – not a final destination. Every step matter, big or small.

In Scouting, we know the power of connection. The people and places where we feel safe, seen, and heard help us feel cared for and supported – which is so important for mental health.

✨ At home, school, work, in the community or online, let’s:

✔️ Reduce stigma
✔️ Reach out for support
✔️ Celebrate every effort towards wellbeing

🌿🐷🐴🐮🐑🦆 Saturday Adventures at Highland & Co!

We had the most wonderful time visiting Highland and Co over the weekend — meeting some adorable furry and feathered friends! 🐾💛 From brushing the friendly cows and feeding the cheeky pigs, to giving the horses and sheep a treat (and even making a new duck buddy!), it was pure joy all around.

There’s something truly special about connecting with animals — it brings so much peace, laughter, and happiness. 🥰
