🌼 Feel Good Friday 🌼

This week we are celebrating our incredible clients participating in our FREE Community Chronic Pain Management Program, run by Liz and Chloe every Monday from 1–4pm at the Lithgow Workies Club.

Living with chronic pain is extremely challenging—and often invisible to others. Pain impacts every area of life, contributing to:
• Poor sleep 😴
• Social isolation • Decreased emotional tolerance 💔
• Reduced physical capacity 🏃‍♀️
• Relationship challenges 🤝• Financial pressures 💰• Loss of independence and increased dependence on others 🤪
Each of these factors alone. or together, can increase stress and create a negative cycle where no end seems in sight 🤯

This week, we were deeply touched to receive a beautiful thank-you card and a cheerful daffodil plant 🌼 from a participant who shared how the program has not only helped them make small, positive changes in pain management, but also given them something just as valuable: a supportive network of classmates to share the journey with. 💛

✨ Change is hard—we get it.
✨ We see you. We hear you.
✨ And we are so grateful to our participants for their courage and willingness to try new approaches, adopt different tools, and return each week to refine and strengthen their strategies.

If you, or someone you know is needing help and support managing Chronic Pain, we are taking enrolments for our next program in October🙏🏻💛

Meet the Monday 5pm reformer class 👋

These ladies are an absolute highlight of Nic’s week. They are supportive, enthusiastic and always up for a challenge (and extra pulses).

Time checks until the end are a frequent part of each session, which they currently hold the record for (it was 5:10pm) 😆🥇

The consistency and progress this class has made is unmatched 🤸🏽‍♀️

Weve had lots of fun this week with our studio theme asking the question 🚗 “If your body is a vehicle, what make/model are you currently driving?”😂

This week we’ve been practising gratitude for the incredible vehicle we get to live in, our body. It carries us through life, letting us plot, cruise, or hoon our way through the day! So much of what it does happens automatically, without us even thinking about it, digestion, restoration, growth, repair, and more.

But pause for a moment and ask yourself:
🔹 What model are you currently driving?
🔹 How does your “vehicle” look and feel right now?
🔹 Have you transitioned through a few different models or versions over the years?

How are you treating your vehicle? Are you respecting it rather than demanding from it? What kind of fuel are you giving it? What demands do you place on it, and how do you respond when it starts to break down, needs a service, a wheel alignment, or even an oil change?

Do you notice the little dashboard warning lights, the subtle signs your body gives you, or do you just keep driving, hoping for the best? And if that cheeky Jeannie lamp 😂 (oil light) lights up….maybe it’s your cue to tune in, listen closely, and give your body the care it’s asking for.

This week, let’s create space for gentle servicing, cultivating awareness, slowing down when needed, and giving ourselves what we need to ensure longevity, optimal performance, and joy on the journey ahead.

Your body is the only vehicle you’ll ever truly own.
Treat it with kindness, fuel it with care,
and listen when it whispers before it needs to shout.
May we drive this journey with gratitude,
honouring the road, the ride, and the remarkable machine
that carries us through it all.🤗

🌿 This Week’s Studio Theme 🌿
Non-Attachment l, A Gentle Invitation to Let Go

As Buddha reminds us, “The root of all suffering is attachment.”
Don’t get me wrong, while we have the “thing,” all feels well… but it’s when these things are taken away, or don’t turn out as we’d hoped, don’t last, that suffering often begins.

This week, we’re exploring the practice of non-attachment an opportunity for personal enquiry to pause, notice, and reflect on what we might be holding onto.

Let’s take a moment to explore this on a few levels:

✨ Physical – Is there tension or gripping in your body that you’re holding without even realising it?
🧠 Mental – Are there looping thoughts, endless “what ifs,” or a mind that just won’t quieten down?
💛 Emotional – Are you carrying worry, fear, disappointment, anger, or sadness that feels heavy?

Then there are the many things we can become attached to, often without knowing:
• Possessions & physical and material things we surround ourselves with and fill our cupboards with
• Our body or appearance
• Views, opinions & beliefs
• Control & expectations
• Thoughts of the future or being stuck in the past
• Comparison & judgement of ourselves or others
• Relationship with people, pets and other living things

And beyond that, there’s the backpack of life we all carry, filled with old struggles, past hurts, regrets, and stories we’ve been holding onto for far too long.
This week, we invite you to gently explore:
✨ What are you holding onto that no longer serves you?
✨ What might shift if you allowed just a little more space, softness, and release?
✨ What’s one small thing physical, mental, or emotional, that you’re ready to begin letting go of?

Our yoga mat becomes a safe space to practice lightening the load… even if it’s just for a breath, a moment, a single posture or a good old monkey swing or 20😂🐒

We had the pleasure of hosting a private class for and his team on Saturday morning to show them all things Pilates 🤸‍♀️

Spirits were high and the shakes were real! 💪

We combined both reformer and Mat Pilates to show them what it’s all about and we definitely got some muscles firing💥

Thanks for brightening our Saturday morning team! Was an absolute ball! 🙏

👋 Meet the gang from our cardio/pulmonary rehab group!

🏥Tucked away in the awesome offsite facility at ochre health, you may not see us but you will definitely hear us down the hallway! I promise between the laughter and story telling some exercise gets done!

❤️‍🩹After finishing their rehab program with the amazing NSW health team, individuals are welcomed into our maintenance group. Some of them love it so much they have been coming for up to 7 years! 💪

🤸🏻‍♀️We’ve seen some incredible progress from 5 minutes of walking or cycling, to powering through 30minutes! But beyond the fitness, it’s the connections that make this group so special.

💬As one member puts it best:“I come for the social time ,the exercise is just a bonus.”

If you’re keen to see what it’s all about, shoot us a message and we can get you started!

🌹 This Week’s Studio Theme 🌹
What decisions, actions or gentle “pruning” can you begin now, to prepare yourself for a full bloom through spring and summer?

Over the weekend I immersed myself in my rose garden, pruning, clearing the dead wood, noticing the new buds forming, choosing which stems had the best direction for growth, and creating space for sunlight and fresh air to flow through.

I noticed how much this process mirrors our own lives. As we emerge from winter, this is the perfect time to reflect and gently “prune” areas of our lives too, letting go of what no longer serves us, creating room for new growth, and shaping the direction we want to move in.

Like the roses, it’s not always an exact science! Often it feels like a bit of calculated guesswork, doing our best to shape the future with the information we have, and trusting that in time, the bloom will come. 🌸

Pruning teaches us that growth comes not from holding on, but from letting go with intention.🍃

Your energy is your currency, spend it wisely, recharge it daily.

We’ve spent the darker Winter months conserving our energy, turning inward, and moving at a slower pace. Now (thank goodness 😂) the days starting to grow longer, and tiny green shoots emerge on the bare branches, quiet reminders that the Winter marathon is nearing its end. Nature begins its gentle stir… and so do we.

Our theme this week is about noticing where our energy sits right now, whilst reflecting on how the seasonal shifts can directly affect our physical, mental and emotional energy levels?!

In Ayurveda, late winter into early spring is the Kapha season (water and Earth) a time when the body’s natural heaviness, stability, and moisture begin to melt. Just as snow turns to flowing streams, our own stored energy and even toxins begin to release. This can leave us feeling both renewed and sluggish, inspired yet slow to start.

Now we can look back over winter honouring the rest we’ve had, whilst inviting a gradual awakening 🌻
• Energy isn’t just physical, it’s mental, emotional, and spiritual.
• Like the seasons, our energy naturally ebbs and flows ⚖️
• We don’t need to rush into full bloom, we can stretch into our energy rather than force it.
• By moving intentionally, we can spark circulation, warmth, and vitality from the inside out.

From still roots, bright growth begins. 🌱

This week, how can you spark some gentle action and begin your energy shift in preparation for spring?

Ayurvedic inspiration for the shift:
• Lighten your meals with warming spices like ginger and turmeric.
• Rise a little earlier to avoid Kapha’s morning heaviness.
• Move more vigorously. think sun salutations, brisk walks, energising flows🤗
