Here’s a good news story.

We received a package today with pair of glasses inside and this note.

Apparently they were found at a car park in Sydney on Saturday night, and they were sent back to us as our lens cloth was inside the case.

We were able to identify the owner of the glasses and he was very grateful that someone had gone to so much trouble to post them. Thank you Susan!

It goes to show that our lens cloths are just as useful as an AirTag.

Because we are independent, we can make sure that we have the most beautiful frames and sunglasses available.

We are excited to have been asked to help play a small part in some exciting research conducted by Western Sydney University.

Diabetic retinopathy is one of the serious complications of diabetes where blood vessels in the eye are damaged, leading to vision loss. This research will examine a simple and non-invasive technique of using biomarker measurements from tears and saliva, which may help in the early identification of people at risk of developing eye disease.

We will have a collection day at our practice (105 Rankin Street) on Wednesday February 25.

If you can spare 15-20 minutes, we would love you to call in and supply a tear and saliva sample.
Adults with or without diabetes, or diabetic retinopathy, are required.

One our favourite reps visited us today to top up our Maui Jim and Zeal sunglasses.

We love it when Christina calls, but this visit was bittersweet, as she will finish up this month to spend more time with her beautiful family.

Christina has looked after us for the past seven years with Maui Jim and I thank her for all the support and friendship that she has given us over that time.

All the best Christina and hopefully we will catch up soon. Mahalo!
